Chelsea vs Spurs (FA CUP) - 22nd April 2017

We really need to get control of the midfield if we're gonna get anything from this match I would love to see a 3 5 2 like...             tibo

Dave.           Luis.         Ake

Moses.    Kante.      Nathan.     Alonso

                        Cesc

               Eden.           Pedro

I think Conte needs to come up with something new, spring a surprise on Spuds. Like starting someone like Loftus-Cheek in place of Costa or something of that nature. If it works, we may use it in the league. We're very predictable in our lineup and tactics and Tottenham knows how to exploit our flaws very well, we saw it earlier in the season.

It's a cup game, so it won't have a direct effect on the league standings, but the confidence either team would get from the win would be very important. The Spuds are flying at the moment, a loss from the itle rival they're trying to overtake could kill their drive.

Leaving home in a while to meet up with the others I go to the games with. Starting off in a pub near the Tower of London and will then move up to Wembley. Had my first drink of the day. Always start big match day with a single malt whisky.

Come on Chelsea. Let's stuff Spurs.

100% agree.

One problem with playing Eden and Pedro in a 2 up front is they'll not win much in the air. We know they will play a high press when we have the ball at the back and we need a variety of ways to play through or over that.

Whatever Conte does this is going to be tough. Come on Chelsea.

Totally agree. We have become too predictable.

Not feeling too confident about this match. Spurs are on fire at the moment and we looked very poor against Man Utd. They will tear us apart if we are not strong in midfield. I'm sick of waiting for Costa to turn up and I would drop him. I'd play 5 in midfield and two upfront. Hazard-Willian or Hazard - Pedro. I'd bring on Fabregas later in the match in midfield. We need steel in the middle to stop the supply lines of Spurs. Cahill could be missing which is another headache. We haven't had much luck of late. Let's hope we get some today. COME ON YOU BLUES !!!

Yes, that's the problem......lack of height. Spurs play a high line defensively so balls over the top and Hazard and Pedro will have to run like whippets.

For some reason I am optimistic about this one, probably due to fact I don't think Spurs are as dangerous away from home.

Cahill in doubt then. I really dont want Zouma starting.

Me neither, he gives me the jitters and JT is probably to slow now to cope with Spurs attack. Ake to start.

IMG_1039.PNGThe trouble is they have 2 men to watch we have 3, add that to our midfield troubles they just have an edge at the moment over us, they know how to play us, conte has been reserved in his changes let's see if he is bold today, he doesn't strike me as a risk taker even if it's more of a risk not to change, I'd love to see him add some of that to his tactics

To put us in the mood for the game. A fine tune:

Great tune and a rare occasion where we hate Tottenham being chanted during the liquidator will sound good.

height is one problem ,the other problem  i see in  playing two up front is it will allow spurs the initiative and when we are  attacking  we will find it hard to hold the ball up,

if we go a goal down it could spell trouble.

for once i would like to see us play on the front foot

Spurs last win against us in the FA CUP was in 1982. They have lost 7, drawn 7 and won two of the last 16 meetings between the teams. This side is probably their best so the Stats count for nowt. I'd rather win the Prem than the FA CUP. I'd love to win both of them if possible.

f**k Tottenham and everything that they stand for. We're playing for who has the biggest cock. This is a legitimate battle for supremacy.
