June 11, 20179 yr Juve reject our first offer, which was 50mln. We are now sending second - 60mln. Thats from the media. But it`s say they have no intention of selling him ...

June 16, 20179 yr At age 26 as well he is in the prime of his career, would be a great LB/LWB for years to come. Only question is would Alonso be okay with playing second fiddle to him and as a backup?

Firstly, because that would be impressive depth at LWB position and, secondly, losing Marcos would seriously dampen the pleasure of gaining a high class alternative.

Plus he'll still get 25-30 appearances per season, play in London and earn higher wages than he could earn anywhere else. Alonso will be fine.

Exactly, having Sandro and Alonso for LB is pretty much perfect, couldn't really ask for better. Its the RB/RWB that really needs solving though

Just gotta sort out the right hand side now
June 16, 20179 yr Would love this to happen. Will give us great depth on the left side.. plus he is definitely an upgrade on alonso( not saying he is bad)
June 16, 20179 yr Equally adept at LB or LWB (something I don't feel the same can be said about Alonso). Ideally for me we'd buy Sandro and perhaps replace Alonso with Tierney next summer. Edited June 16, 20179 yr by the special one
June 16, 20179 yr Alonso is also able to play as a CB, is he not? Thought I recalled there being talk of him playing in the middle for Sunderland(?) a few years back. This Sandro signing could allow Alonso to play on the left of the back 3 from time to time. Just gives us options.

June 16, 20179 yr Juventus have just confirmed they've rejected 60m bid for Sandro. Great ambition from Chelsea!
June 16, 20179 yr Time to move on then. Tierney would be much a good choice, contrasts witb Alonso well atm. We could even go in for Mendy as well and it wouldn't cost 60m+. The trouble with having these specific positions is teams who have good players there don't want to sell them. Antonio may have to think outside the box for WBs Edited June 16, 20179 yr by TheChelseaBlues

Antonio may have to think outside the box for WBs Aurier. There's no denying his quality and he may come cheap. Massive upgrade on Moses and players from the French league usually adjust well to the PL.
June 16, 20179 yr Couldn't care less how much it costs because it isn't my money so would love this to get done. Unreal player. Hope it doesn't turn out to be nothing like so many other rumours.
June 16, 20179 yr (Daily Fail) Juventus reject Chelsea's £55.2m bid for Alex Sandro... but won't stand in the way if star left back wants to leave Edited June 16, 20179 yr by the special one
June 16, 20179 yr Just need him to hand in a transfer request, which sound likely as he can double his wages here.
June 16, 20179 yr Hopefully he has indeed handed in a transfer request. We should make the same €60m bid with €2m-€5m in bonuses when he does.
June 17, 20179 yr Or lower our price and add on to his propsed wages. Why pay 60 after he's said he wants to leave? Give him the incentive to push harder Edited June 17, 20179 yr by TheChelseaBlues
June 17, 20179 yr Or lower our price and add on to his propsed wages. Why pay 60 after he's said he wants to leave? Give him the incentive to push harder There's no need to piss about and have them reject another bid because they feel disrespected. Unless you want to spend an entire summer going after him. Finish the business early and move on to other targets.

I think break egos are the break down of many transfers, if you want to get it down get it done I agree, they all want reputations as iron clad negotiators.
