Chalobah is a good backup, but sorry Matic is different class. Kante was sh*t tonight without Matic.

Yeah me neither, but its exciting to see the potential in them! Both Christensen and Ake are still both very young, and they are already living upto their potential.

I can see Christensen starting over Cahill, but I agree that Azpi and Luiz most likely wont be replaced unless Azpi changes role

If i had to choose between Ake or Christensen, then i think i would go with Christensen. I think he is more of a solid defender and he's as good as Ake on the ball too. I like Ake, but at the moment, i still don't think he is quite good enough defensively to start for us week in week out.

He's been average/poor this season for Gladbach. He was a lot better last season.

good to bag another win after making nine changes. it was never going to be easy, with so many changes and and so on but i think

 

- defensively we were pretty atrocious terry included

- 3 goals we conceded were from defensive errors

-begovic just doesn't seem reassuring even with his distribution.

 

Conte is no mug and i reckon there is a damn good reason why some of these players havent started/ featured this season. 

I think the only two that really are ready to challenge the first 11 are ake and chalobah.

I hope he retires, but not because I don't want to see him play for anyone else, but because I fear he'll be made to look a mug next season. Will be a sad way to go.

Yeah definitely Christensen over Ake atm, But Ake is great backup. I'd have him as our 4th or 5th choice CB for sure

I'll be interested to see how Christensen copes with a more physical league, not convinced either are ready to be starters yet and both will need patience to learn from Conte.

We were never going to be on top form after Friday IMO.

This was always going to be hard match after the celebrations. We have to be careful they don't spill over too far into next weekend with the cup final on the horizon.

I think Ake was good but Zouma and JT were poor. Kenedy wasn't spectacular either.

Every time I've watched Ake play I've been mightily impressed
