Chelsea Vs Watford (PL) Mon 15/05 2017 KO 20:00 GMT

Featured Replies

got a bit tasty towards the end - there was no need for that from some of those Watford guys, I'm not sure what they were trying to prove

entertaining game with an unusual line up

loved JT and Dave scoring

didn't love our sloppy defending for their goals but, hey, what can you expect with a keeper and back 3 that haven't played together all season

we looked sharp in attack, scored 4 good goals

a record 30 games won is still on

COME ON CHELSEA!

Interesting game of football. I think some players have brighter futures than others at the club. I can't see Kenedy and Zouma going much further with us sadly, i don't think they suit Conte's style and Kenedy is not a wing back. Ake still has a lot to learn for me, it's like watching a young David Luiz at times, he doesn't play with his head at times which leads to rash decision making. Chalobah look's like a proper footballer, with more game time, i think he can make it here. Batshuayi is still a maybe, he will score goals but there is still question marks with his ability to hold up play on his own up there. I personally hope Batshuayi stays, i'm not sure he will but he clearly has goals in him.

When the experienced players came on, the difference was clear to see. They have more knowledge of the game and know how to manage a game better.

I'm so reluctant to criticise JT with him being such a hero. The only thing I would say is that I hope he hangs up his boots before his game declines any further. He can still do a everything he used to in one sense but his lack of pace and agility hurts him at times.

Glad to see us pick up the 3 points in the end, some valuable minutes for some players and valuable rest for others. Well played to Batshuayi, Chalobah, Ake and Aina. Really hope they stick around next season.

good training match this was - many players that haven't saw time this season got some run & CFC still got a win - personally I enjoyed my Monday afternoon with a pils & a bucket of popcorn while watching this match

Conte got away with one tonight...making nine changes in front of an expectant crowd was a gamble which he got away with...just...Napoleon liked a lucky General too...I fully expect the first team back on Sunday though...

Watford have been on the beach since they secured a spot in the Premier League for the next season. Suddenly, when they face us, they play like their lives depend on it?

F**k off.

Expect that next season from all as we are champions everyone will want to beat us

well fun game for the neutrals thats for sure, sh*te defending at both ends

btw whats with the watford chumps getting mad at pedro?

Probably something he said, if not then probably at the end when he held up the ball and passed it backwards to deny them possession pissed them off.

That and despite them upping the physicality they couldn't get the ball off our 5'6er

A back 3 of Christensen, Luiz/Cahill and Ake could be monstrous next season.

Thats not a back three good enough to win the league. Neither Ake or Christensen should be starters next season.

I'm not sure i want to see 2 new players come in to be honest. I like it as it is, Azpilicueta and Luiz have been brilliant. Bringing in two new players will disrupt us and i don't think it's needed. Maybe one to rotate with Cahill, but not two permanent changes.

I think Neville has raised a very good point there that I think that we've all missed.

A lot of those players will have been drinking on Friday night until the wee small animals so to still get over the line against a fellow PL side is a good achievement.

We were never going to be on top form after Friday IMO.

Was very strange, maybe Pedro said something, before it all kicked off he seemed to be expecting the foul.

Seriously it's a good job we had this title wrapped up and I could enjoy this game stress free lol. Great game, Watford contributed to a really enjoyable match. Fabregas getting out winner was deserved after the shifts he's put in the last 8 days.

Lots of positives to take from this young team, great to see bats get on the score sheet once again. He'll be an important player for us next season.

Great win, same team on Sunday hopefully, maybe rest Hazard though and get to 93 points.

Exactly. I always see it as a compliment that every team wants to beat us. And Conte will have this team motivated from the off next season. We'll be well prepared for the challenge i'm sure.

I won't criticise Terry because he's been so good over the years with us, but i don't want him to join another Premier League club, he will find it very tough i think. His legs finally look like they have fully gone ( and i have held off saying that for some time now ) Ferdinand went to QPR when his legs had gone and he had a terrible time, i don't want to see that with Terry. If Terry keeps on playing, then i hope he goes to America or China, the Premier League will rip him apart if he continues.

I said it could be. Christensen is definitely good enough to start over Cahill, Ake has potential but he won't start over Luiz and Azpi yet. But that depends on where azpi plays next season

Yeah me neither, but its exciting to see the potential in them! Both Christensen and Ake are still both very young, and they are already living upto their potential.

I can see Christensen starting over Cahill, but I agree that Azpi and Luiz most likely wont be replaced unless Azpi changes role

Christensen certainly should be up there, he's been collosal for Gladbach.

He's a better player than VVD who everyone is climbing over themselves for us to sign.

we have to find a way of letting the likes of Ake, Chalobah and Bats really learn their game so I'm hoping they do all stay next season and continue to be involved with the first XI

I don't see why Chalobah hasn't replaced Matic in the lineup yet, every game he's had a chance to play this season he's been incredible and Matic has been poor for the majority of the season and lucky to have Kante carrying the 2 man partnership
