It's incredible how one win, where we played sh*t, has led Arsenal fans and pundits to talk about them winning the League next season...their league position is a true reflection of how good they are, not one game.

Arsenal have adopted liverpools boom bust cycle.

I've noticed this too. A few weeks ago the media were calling for his head, now the media is saturated with nauseating, arse-licking articles for him

The media in being fake and fickle 'shocker'.

No way. Don't believe it.

Didn't have the time to post but a short review of the game. We were f**ked over with that first goal that has proven to be crucial in the end. If that happened to Chelsea we would probably be shut down as a club and it would be in the media forever. Our first half was terrible the worst this season. In the second we improved and Moses red cut off our good work, after going down to ten men we went all out created chances and scored but left the defense open for counters which Arsenal used. We almost scored two but were denied. Overall it wasn't a good performance i rarely blame the ref but his decision gave Arsenal wings, if we scored first we would close the game no problem. Still a great season a title won with confidence, we have Europe back next season and we were in a cup final. What could a fan ask for more?

I won't regurgitate what's already been said. Always disappointing to lose a cup final but if you'd had said to me at the start of the season we'd win the league and reach the FA Cup final I'd have bitten your arm off for a season that good.

Win or lose, up the blues.

Just cricked my neck looking at them.

For some reason they upload sideways but when you click on them (at least from my mobile device) they rotate to the right way... Looks like a job for the mods to look into *ahem*

I just feel so deflated after losing this. I just can't understand why we showed up so poorly. Things keep running through my mind, why didn't Conte make changes at HT? Why didn't Moses just pass instead of taking a dive? We didn't we try to shut the game down after the equaliser and nick it? I just don't get what happened to us.

It sounds spoilt to say but it has put a downer on the end of the season for me. Had this been the League Cup in Feb/March I don't think I'd have cared all that much.

I'm over it already pal. Conte will use the defeat like a dose of smelling salts.

I detect this 'not a great Chelsea team' vibe in here sometimes.

This is a team who have the second highest PL points total, won 30 games, went 13 unbeaten, won the league against opposition, who between them spent about a half a billion, have the best managers in the world etc. etc.

Are we getting a bit too demanding?

Possibly, but I can well understand the criticism after Saturday. It really did put a bit of a downer on the end of season celebrations.

Let's be honest, winning the PL far exceeded most of our expectations. But once we got in the position we did it's only natural to look back and comment on where things didn't go so well. Inexcusable to not turn up in an FA Cup Final against an Arsenal side with a very makeshift defence.

As well as we did this season, next season will be tougher and improvements will be needed.

The team did remarkably well to win the league and in the fashion they did, I don't think anyone would honestly say that that team didn't perform over and above what was expected of them. But that doesn't mean the team is necessarily "great", there are a lot of areas where the team and the squad can be improved, and if you look at defeats like the Arsneal game, the Spurs game, the Man utd game, a "great" team would never be that inept multiple times in big games. That's not tot ake away from the achievements, but you have to look at it objectively. It's the assumption that we won the league so therefore we don't need many changes which have led to f**kups in the past. We need to push on or get left behind.

Good day out spoilt by the game itself, could be a blessing in disguise, hopefully club will realise that the title win was a one off, unless we improve the team it won't happen again. Back in the day the cup meant everything, now with power of the prem it's sadly becoming more and more like an end of season charity shield! nothing like the feeling I had back in may 97.

I'm not for resting on our laurels, of course we need to strengthen and freshen up the squad, but I do think a little more recognition should be given to what this team has

It might not be 2012 but it's damn close when you look at the sorry state of last year's performance.

i am still not recovered from this, winning the title now seems  like it never happened, i think the fact that it was arsenal is what makes this hard to swallow, they are a sh*te team and wenger is past it yet they managed to turn it on for the final and look like the team who were champions. I hope the team are as f**ked off with it as i am.

It's a cup match that meant everything to them. Their season hung on it. It's the first FA cup final we've lost in 5 - probability is that we will lose one.

We are champions. Much bigger deal. Next season we will chant "champions of England". Does anyone celebrate being FA Cup winners for longer than a few weeks.

Did we actually win the Prem  as its been so low key its as if it never happened  no bloody wonder the cup defeat feels so raw

i am quite sure that if it was united, spurs, liverpool, or arsenal  that had triumphed , it would be all that we were reading about

I don't mind Arsenal now appearing again as the media favourites.

The League position is a true reflection of their ability.

One of my mates who is an Arsenal fan stated this before the Cup Final and he thinks their win has given Wenger breathing space when he wanted him to go.

Agree. A couple of my mates are Le Arse fans and they were not happy they won, as they were hoping this would be final straw and he would go.
