Same with Ake they are not suited to that position for me, both are CB or fullbacks only. LWB over Alonso is the position to be strengthend because Baba is only coming back from a a bad injury and I'm still not 100% on Alonso, i feel we can get better. Couldn't disagree more. Moses isn't good enough to be our starting RWB. He's done well recently but next season is going to be a whole new challenge with CL added to our schedule and teams taking us much more seriously. He has earned a spot in the squad but we need a better player in that position. Edited May 28, 20179 yr by abramovich
June 9, 20179 yr Conti said to be headed for Milan as well... What the f**k is going on? We are missing out on a lot of our targets we had quite early on
June 9, 20179 yr Looks like Mendy is going to chose between us and Citeh...time for Conte to make a call...
June 9, 20179 yr And Sandro is worth the £40-50m being asked...best LB and LWB in the world a present and would easily fit into our squad given the amount of Brazilian team mates here...
June 9, 20179 yr I'd also take RWB Nelson Semedo from Porto...still young and a little unexperienced but what a talent...

June 12, 20179 yr Serge Aurier. Wants to leave PSG, absolutely world class. One of the few people i'd take over Moses.

June 12, 20179 yr All about depth for me. Moses and Alonso are doing a great job. Will be tough to find affordable upgrades. Personally I'm in favour of Lichtsteiner who adds a bit of experience and can provide a more defensive option than Victor. That said all this depends on what happens with Dave if we sign a new Centre Half. He will be in the team somewhere.
June 28, 20179 yr Why aren't we looking at Serge Aurier? Has an attitude problem at PSG but so did Anelka everywhere before Chelsea and after Chelsea. Only player that has maintained his attitude problem here that I can remember over the last 15-17 years is Costa. I tend to think Conte can work on this lad. On the pitch, he's a fantastic RB and he'd be perfect for us. Apparently United and Juventus are looking to get him. Not sure why there hasn't been any reported interest on our part. Really don't want to see Azpi at RWB.
June 29, 20179 yr I don't think it's a question of not looking at him but more along the lines of Chelsea not doing business with PSG/concentrating on other deals first/Conte not liking his personality maybe? That being said, lovely first touch, pace to burn, decent crossing from deep. Would tear that right side to shreds with Moses/Pedro/Willian. One thing that worries me is he likes to dive into tackles a bit Edited June 29, 20179 yr by Deino
June 29, 20179 yr Anelka was a bit of a c**t here too, big part of why several managers lost the dressing room and pretty much pissed away his penalty in Moscow because he wasnt getting along with Grant. Wouldnt touch Aurier tbh, not Worth the risk.

Really don't want to see Azpi at RWB. Think i've mentioned it on this thread but Aurier is the only player i'd rather have starting in our team over Moses. He needs to learn to stay on his feet when defending but other than that he's an absolute beast of a player. You'd imagine he wouldn't cost an extortionate amount either given that he falls out with PSG every other week.

Might been a bit harsh, but he still refused to take a penalty because he came on as a late sub AND because he didnt get to play, striker leaving John Terry to take one and then blaming the manager when he ended up taking it because he knew he was going to miss. He played a lot of great games for us but he was a massive primadonna with all of the sane attitude problems that plagued his career
June 29, 20179 yr Our right side is the weakest part of our team IMO, Aurier would be a great signing if Conte thinks he can control him. Being at PSG and Paris seem like they're the major cause of his issues
June 29, 20179 yr Maybe not a popular choice but I'd like to see OX signed from Arsenal to play RWB, he's done very well when played there for Arsenal and offers more attacking threat than Moses. He's also English
June 29, 20179 yr Would be happy if we take a punt on Jeremy Toljan. Looked a class above v England U21 the other night. Offensively Moses is 'good enough' at RWB and Toljan can provide cover at RWB, CB, LWB as well as being a top up and coming RB/LB (which may be useful if we return to a back 4 at some point in the future) Edited June 29, 20179 yr by the special one
