So in the situation Brutos suggests, the 4th placed team would drop to the Europa League. I'm pretty sure this is right. A nation can only have 5 teams even if it has both the CL and EL winners.
March 9, 20188 yr Ok - so Man Utd v Liverpool.... is the best outcome for us a home win? If we manage to beat Palace we'd at least reduce the gap between us and Liverpool to 4 points

I don't see it happening, i think we have blown it.

Nah Liverpool are there to be got at if results go our way tomorrow. 4 points behind with them still to come here and there bogey manager still to play (Paul Lamberts never lost at Anfield) plus added CL commitments.

Yes we ultimately need to probably win our remaining 9 games and that being games against Liverpool and spurs. i feel we will come short sadly just can’t see us being consistent. We have messed up too many times we had top four in our hands. But to lose to the likes of burnley, Bournemouth, palace, Watford Is inexcusable.
March 10, 20188 yr It doesn't matter much I agree with Scott we've blown it with the stupid recent losses against Bournemouth and Watford. Spurs and Liverpool would have to drop 6/7 points on their run in for us to catch them and only if we win every game, including the two home games against them. Looking at their fixtures and given their current form against ours, it will be difficult for us to catch them.....Thursday night football is the best we can do I think....unless of course we actually win the Champions League? If City or Utd win the CL do we make it if we finish 5th?
March 10, 20188 yr I'm gonna beat a dead horse here but how the f**k did Mourinho manage to waste youngsters like KdB, Salah, Lukaku, RLC etc. yet he's willing to play this McTominay every game? The most painfully average young player he's had at his disposal throughout his career he gives a run of games to. He's just a young Gareth Barry and even that is a compliment.

I think Pogba's injured..I don't think Jose has ever been very good at judging young talent, he has no patience for mistakes and wants instant success for his own ego...but there again with a Board and owner like we have they have no patience either in the fact the expectation is to win something every season....

He seems to have been playing him in recent weeks even with Pogba available. The lad is as bang average as they come. Very frustrating to see.

Honest - probably unpopular opinion: I think he just cares more about having a long-term legacy at Man utd than he did with us. Everyone knew he always wanted the Man UTd job, this is the one he wants to be remembered for for a long time.
March 10, 20188 yr Alexander-Arnold has had a nightmare, he's good at crossing the ball but suspect defensively. f**k knows why Joe Gomez didn't start. Not complaining though, hope Liverpool get battered.

March 10, 20188 yr Very effective but Utd really do play boring football. Lots of hoof ball and tough tackling.
March 10, 20188 yr I know we all love to complement matic but imo he's been sh*t for them. Van Dijk shouldve scored the header when matic lost him and he's always losing possession. Did vs us too, don't see the hype around him at all.If we hadn't replaced him with the world's worst footballer no one would be complaining about us losing matic

Not arsed about losing a very limited player, more bothered that we didn't properly replace him.
