pretty satisfactory first half in my view. if anything, we have looked a little more dangerous when we have gone forward. if we can keep our concentration I fancy us to nick this one.

I'd like to see more from Bakayoko and Zappacosta - both seem easily brushed off the ball 

Just need that extra quality on the final ball.

Btw, Kante's pass to Drinkwater's feet for the chance he wasted was sublime.

frustrating that so many touches have been heavy when chances are coming our way. they haven't forced us into mistakes, there's a few players whose passing is off today and so frustrating to watch. need another attacking player in there.

That was a decent half. We've coped well with Liverpool's possession and have actually looked more threatening going forward. On another day we could easily have been one or two ahead. Hazard has been a handful for them. Drinkwater has surprised me, if I was going to hook one of the midfielders for Willian/Pedro then it would have to be Bakayoko.

 

I also think the referee has been decent so far, very balanced and consistent.

drinkwater didn't have the pace to make a better touch on that ball. if that was willian or pedro, it could have been goal maybe.

Interesting one. A few great first half performances, and a few woeful.

Bakayoko might as well be at home, completely absent defensively and he's been more effective at starting Liverpool attacks than their entire midfield.

And Zappacosta, I can't fault his effort or work rate, real knack of being in the right position, but awful in the tackle and so wasteful in the final third. Alonso's done OK against their danger man, particularly given the pace difference.

Azpi, Kante, Drinkwater and Hazard have kept us in this and kept us threatening. Need to introduce Cesc and (if fit, hopefully) Moses early. Fancy us in this half.

Very impressed with Hazard and Drinkwater, we're doing very good defensively and we are attacking properly, but we still missing a player to add more attacking ability.

What I'm worried about are Mane and Firmino, Klopp has them as his options and of course, he will be using them. Bakayoko had a bad half, he has to improve because he can add us some power to counter-attacks and he can stop Liverpool from dribbling and running. Morata has to do more.

Let's hope we will find the net in the second half. COME ON CHELS!!!
