He was a God scoring goals for DC united back in the day.  Those were the years, when they were a force in the league. Marco Etcheverry, Jaime Moreno, Eddie Pope, Jeff Agoos, the list goes on.

Oh my head, this is the best thing i've read today. I had the "1999 MLS Year in review" movie when i was young and watched it probably a couple hundred times.

Any word on the injury?

He has not been ruled out for tomorrow, so that's a positive.

If he makes the roster tomorrow, we will see him in action....even if in limited sub minutes.

That is the perception. This guy is under a lot of pressure to perform. He has to prove to every one that he's a legit baller and he's there to play. I am sure Lampard probably have the same impression when he first heard of Pulisic.

What impresses me more than his soccer skills, is his mental toughness. That is why I am confident he will succeed and become a fine footballer.

Absolutely, fans in the states tagged him as the future GOAT for American football when he was a teenager and got caps with the national team.

It was instantly apparent that his touch, control, and finishing are heads and tails better than any player we have seen on our national team.  His passing is comparable to some of the best players the US has ever had.

The thing that worries me is that his talent may create a mentality here to just focus the whole attack on him expecting him to carry us.  Give the ball to Pulisic and hope he does something amazing isn't a long term winning strategy.

That’s what we did with Hazard for the last three/four seasons. It’s playground stuff, get the ball and give it to Eden so he can win the match.

Head and shoulders above any player we currently have. How glad must he be that Werner and Ziyech are coming in!

Werner and Ziyech is going to bring a whole other dimension to Chelsea attack. I honestly don't think any attacker on the current roster think fast enough, or move fast enough to match Pulisic's level.

Played well tonight.

I think he did OK tonight. Wasn't one of his better performances. Wasn't at his expected level, maybe that calf is keeping him from being 100%.

Not sure Pulisic can carry a team like that, at least not at this moment. Maybe he can grow into it in the future, he's still young. But that's what separate the greats from the very good. The ability to put a team on their shoulders and consistently carry them to the finish line.

Drew both fouls that led to Willian scoring.  Maybe not his best game ever but he made things happen.

Note: For some reason when I type Willian my phone autocorrect changed it to William.  So FYI I know the guys name but my phone doesn't like it.

Relative to his peers, yes I completely agreed. He did pretty well.

But from his potentials and talents and what he would have expected from himself, I think he was average in a good way. If you go ask him to rate himself in this game, I would think his answer was along the line of average rather than great.

Him and Willian did very well today, let down by everyone else.

2 players, however good they are, cannot beat 11 when their 9 team mates may as well have stayed in lockdown today.

I would say that is true, he had a couple good chances that he didn't do the best on.

I can't think of many defenders who'd feel confident going up against a trio of Pulisic, Werner and Ziyech.

Add a (hopefully) injury free Hudson Odoi to the mix.

CHO does, it's why i'm partly hoping Ziyech plays CM/CAM for us.

I understand CHO is a darling of Chelsea, but I am yet to be impressed by what I've seen so far this season.

Does he have the raw talents? Absolutely. Will he be able to tap into all those potentials? Does he have the right mental aptitude and work ethics to grow into a great professional?

I am not so sure, but he's still very young so he has lots of time still on his side. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I disagree, he had a quiet winter period but September/October he was fantastic as he was post Christmas until he got injured again, in one of his recent games against Arsenal he created around 5/6 clear chances. All the metrics I've seen back up what I feel and are pointing to a top top player (if he avoids injuries).

Also I don't think he's a darling with the fans these days, I think there's a bit of general resentment with him (not by me personally) ever since the contract issue.

He has been superb since his return. The directness and sureness of his runs make me think that It's like he considers the opposition's penalty box his Manifest Destiny.
