I played my whole life without ever playing for a coach who had played the game. 

Now we have El Salvador's all time leading scorer coaching 10 year olds in Cumming, GA (just an example). My son has played for 4 different coaches who have played professionally at some level (he's 10). 

The level of instruction is light years ahead of where it was 20 years ago. The US will quickly become an emerging market in terms if footballers for a variety of reasons including several which Valpo mentioned. 

Chelsea becoming the defacto team for this next generation of American footballers could be huge.

Is it just me or is Pulisic at his best when Tammy is not the striker? Seems that Tammy tends to try and occupy a lot of the same space or make the same runs, and isn't so much a hold up player/outlet as Giroud is. 

Hopefully it's just a minor cramp and nothing more.

A bit unfortunate he didn't end up on the score sheet today with either a goal or assist.

He's just extremely quick and smart with the ball, it's always a joy to see him play.

Because Tammy doesn't leave spaces for others to exploit. Tammy likes to be in the thick of it hencewhy most of the time he plays the box is so congested.

Giroud likes to play with the other forwards in between the line and his movement is fantastic.

Tammy should learn from Giroud. If Giroud had an extra yard of pace or two he'd be world class

I've said the same thing on another forum.

If Giroud is 5 years younger, and just a tiny bit faster; he'll do wonders for this team.

If he hadn't been injured at all this season I really wonder if we would've dropped so many points, he's a special player, but I'm concerned with the injuries he keeps picking up. 

Hopefully with the arrival of Ziyech and Werner, they might be able to pick out his runs a bit more often.

It's almost criminal what Willian did with the ball at 1:03.

Does Emerson ever combine with Pulisic?

As much as i'm happy with him i'm not sure about that, he was actually playing during our worst period of the season  (late November to Spurs/Arsenal away) and in January CHO was on top form.

I have to agree somewhat. The points dropped are due to terrible defending and not really because of lack of offense. But I am sure if Pulisic was available, it would not hurt to have him on the field.

I thought we bought him at the time just  to win more American fans but he really is a top talent by far our best attacking player right now, was hazard this good at 21?

That is the perception. This guy is under a lot of pressure to perform. He has to prove to every one that he's a legit baller and he's there to play. I am sure Lampard probably have the same impression when he first heard of Pulisic.

What impresses me more than his soccer skills, is his mental toughness. That is why I am confident he will succeed and become a fine footballer.

yeah, at 21 Hazard scored 20 league goals for Lille in a single season and Ligue 1 POTS. 

Pulisic is coming along nicely though.

Raul Diaz Arce?

I really like Pulisic, he always looks dangerous and I think with Werner and Ziyech he will be even better. I was gutted he didn't score yesterday after having a decent chance, but the fact gets in those positions is always good.

When we look on Hazards time we massively relied on him, but going forward we have really promising players that should make us pretty potent next season. Tammy needs to step it up a bit as he is far from his early season form.

Yup. He's been coaching in North Metro Atlanta for years. Always heard good things about him. My son was in the same age group that he coached (2009). In not sure where he was this season, because I didnt see him with the same team. He may have moved back down to the younger players. 

But it's a far cry from daddy-ball in the states now. 

He was a God scoring goals for DC united back in the day.  Those were the years, when they were a force in the league. Marco Etcheverry, Jaime Moreno, Eddie Pope, Jeff Agoos, the list goes on.

He has been a real disappointment since the restart. Maybe he didnt look after himself as well as the others over the lockdown? I don't know what has happened but he seems off the pace and lost when he's been on the pitch.

Any word on the injury?

Frank, in his press conference today, made it seem like he has a chance to play tomorrow.

I think Paul Mariner coached youth in Atlanta for a bit in the 90's.
