Match day, time to make amends. We need to move the ball quicker, get to the byline more and cross more accurately. We have the talent to do all of that.Expect two coaches to be parked today so patience is needed.....UP THE CHELS !

This really is a no win game for Sarri. We're expected to win, so if we do everybody will say ' It's only Huddersfield ' . Failure to win will significantly increase his chances of the bullet.

The game probably hinged on wether we score early, failure to do this will give another frustrating watch. One thing though there has to be changes after the disappointing performance on Wednesday, if only to send a message that nobodies place is assured.

Hopefully he changes it but probably same old players in the same positions failing in the same way

rudiger “ we were solid in defence last season but that was with different system with different players “ is he calling for a change there ?

I feel Rudiger is one of those players that will look to move if we don't improve soon.

Move to where though? There is a high demand for ball playing CBs which he isn’t.

According to Sarri's presser yesterday he has only one Plan, Plan A. There is no plan B until Plan A is working; When Plan A is working there will be no requirement for Plan B, because we'll be playing like Barcelona back in the day; Therefore Plan B is only an option if Plan A is working, so its pointless even contemplating a Plan B until Plan A is perfected; Plan C will never be considered because we will never get to a Plan B....therefore CFC have closed their Planning department as there is no point in going beyond Plan A until its perfected and even then we are only likely to reach a slight change to Plan A which will be called Plan B.

So for today's game against Huddersfield, we will be sticking to trying to perfect Plan A, anyone with the idea that there is a Plan B at this point will be sadly disappointed; those who were looking for Plan C or beyond at this time would best be looking elsewhere or not watch the game.

More fight required more backbone needed.

And more noise from the Chelsea boys (and girls)

Up the Chels

Look forward to hearing your take on the match.

Think we will win though it won't be pretty..................

If Sarri had the players in for 50 minutes after Bournemouth, lets hope it was a two way conversation and not just lambasting the players.

Hopefully there was some positive discourse and we can find that spark that sometimes goes missing. Huddersfield will have nothing for us today, routine home win.

Really need to win this one, teams seem to be finding it far to easy against us at the moment but i do not expect to see any major changes and will be shocked if CHO starts. The goons are sure to drop points at city so this really must be a win

Regardless, he is still the second best CB in the league after VVD and ahead of Maguire.

"If we speak about last season, we were solid in defence. Granted it was a different system, but we need to go back to basics because it's not normal for a Bournemouth player to take on four defenders and go through.

Those basics are to win challenges, to look for challenges. It's nice if you have possession but everyone needs to know what their job is, which is, first and foremost, getting a clean sheet.”

If you quote him directly and correctly then he’s talking about going back to basics and getting the little things right.  He also said all the players should be ashamed of themselves. I think I’m in love with Rudi :wub2:

No fun when we are losing, all the haters instincts come to the fore including mine. I thought  luiz and Jorginho were shocking last time out and it’s clear we need to change  the attack. It’s hard on willian but my team Is

I'm fascinated to see what happens tonight. Every person in the world sees that we need to change it up. At a minimum Kante needs to sit deeper, either alongside or in place or Jorginho.

That said I'll expect the worst and hope for the best.

Kante as DM is not compatible with Sarri's idea of football. He wants to build up from the lowest part of the pitch and Kanté can't do that job. If you want him to play there, you don't want to play with this idea of football.

I agree yet would like to see Kovacic given that role for a spell.

Sarrista, then?

I think Kovacic is adapt to play there, but he is just a beginner for what I saw in the last match, he has to learn a lot of things to play well, but his loan will end before that. Honestly, Jorginho is the last problem of Chelsea, I've read a lot of people talking about him like he was the most dangerous player. Jorginho builds up the action, recovers a lot of balls, especially in the opposite half, he does his job, although the level of organization around him is very low and he's in trouble for this reason. I've read a lot of bullsh*ts, like "Sarri doesn't have a plan B", but what do you mean for 'plan B'? Staying lower on the pitch, playing with more counter-attacks and so on? Then, it's true, he hasn't THIS plan B. If you mean 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1 and so on, this is a bullsh*t. In Empoli his team played with 4-3-1-2, in Naples he changed into 4-3-3 after just three matches and in the last year, when Milik was available (very few times because of his injury), he played sometimes with 4-2-3-1. Numbers aren't the problem, but this team lacks basics tools to play with this idea of football, whatever system he adopts. Sarri's teams play in a cooperative way, right team work movements in the right time. Changing system would make things just more confused. I'm just hoping you will be patient enough, because it is worth the risk.

Willing to give him time, yet he needs to get results.

He has changed one player and recently added another. Too few for me.

The reason being is that Sarri's game plan relies on a lot more movement from players and this is new territory for them without a full pre-season of training

He usually improves team with work rather than signing players. I give you an example: in his second season Higuain went to Mafia after scoring 36 goals and his replacement (Milik) got a serious injury after a month, for a while we had a lot of offensive problems, then at the end of season we finished with 4 points more and record of goals in the history of the team.
