Apparently LR didn’t want it but being basically already on the payroll he had little to no choice.

I've heard that rumor.

Would not surprise me if true. I don't believe he is good enough for what most of us want

If that is true, you can sort of understand it from his point of view. While this is obviously a massive opportunity for a manager, he probably knew he wasn't experienced enough. And if it doesn't go well, it could set his career back.

Given he picked Jorgensen right after the Kinsky debacle that one will likely live on with him for a while.

Only chance he has to put it away quickly is to win the FA cup. Enough will forgive and push to back of mind the failure vs Paris and not getting CL football next season (if that happens) IF, and it is a huge if, we beat Port Vale, get past West Ham or Leeds in the semi and then beat City or Liverpool in the final.

He will probably pick a weakened team in the semi (maybe under orders)because we have a big game in the race for top 4……then lose said game.

Fair point.

And if he gets us knocked out By port vale for picking a weekend team, so long as our keeper does not mess up, will replace the PSG debacle as his biggest failure.

Yeah that's why there's only a handful of managers who have (repeatedly) won the top prizes in football.

f**king idiots. These guys genuinely believe they are smarter and better than everyone else in the game.

I suppose it does explain why they hire mediocre coaches who are better at media work than coaching !

Social media fans have never once stepped foot on English soil, never mind visited the Bridge. They don't represent the real fans.

I agree, but they are the club's money base. We're in an era where fake fans and perceptions have more sway than actual match-going members, and we have an ownership who are vested in keeping it that way.

On other matters Lazio fans are emptying their stadium in protest against the ownership.

2k only for a league match today. Now that's action.

How about us?

Until our fanbase is willing to make such a sacrifice we will be stuck as we are, until BlueCo can sell for what they originally planned on, hayever that number is.

So they are saying we don’t have a good manager and it doesn’t matter.

All those idiots in the relegation zone sacking there managers, I mean why even have one?

We’re screwed.

I won't jump the gun because that could just be complete horsesh*t, but if it is true, we are just as f**ked under this ownership as I feared we were.

Director in question is Daniel Finkelstien.

Now whether these are exactly what he said to the group on he and they know.

and frankly I don't care if it is horsesh*t or not, so long as this lights the fire and BlueCo sell.

Lost for words.

It's worse than I could have ever imagined.

The disconnect between the fans and the club has never been greater.

It's what I have been fearing since they got the club, the complete annihilation of the club we knew and still fight to love.

They documented the whole interview: Blog - Notaprojectcfc.com

Seems pretty legit and pretty some of our worst fears about the owners

John Terry is not rhe right fit for our first team coaching staff and Luis Enrique not for head coach.

And why? They won't just be puppets.

It's true, the meeting was in Feb, everyone who went there got NDA'd

While I wouldn't blame fans for walking out over Sarriball, my first guess was 'the club isn't racist enough'; my second was 'we should have supported that cock ring falconer Mussolini guy'.

I was there and I distinctly remember what Lord Finkelstein said and found him quite self-effacing: "Have you read my book? You can find it for £1 in the nearest LOROS".

Although supporting a sports team is obviously more complex than the example I'm about to give, there still has to be an element of entertainment or people will just switch off.

If I was watching a tv series and every episode was boring, the actors were sh*t and not believable in their roles, and the show runners kept coming out on social media telling people that these are the best young actors in the world and we need to shut up and keep watching because it'll get good in a few seasons - I'd stop watching.

Apart from the blind tribalism of it being my team, I have no other reason to keep watching each week.
