Imagine the joy from certain sections of the media, pundits and rival fans when we next suffer a defeat.

The nationwide celebrations and euphoria will make Jubilee Day 2022 look like a small gathering for a game of cards.

What's worse is the club can't even give the tickets away for free even if they wanted to

We wanted to give the tickets away for free and cannot. How can free tickets line Roman's pockets.

How can free tickets for the cats memorial going in to Roman's pockets?

Come on then, there are some on here who have said the Govt are going out of their way to help us. What Tory BS are you going to spin on this?

I repeat this again. No chance in hell  they would do this to Pool or United in the same scenario. This is a disgrace, the government are trying to provoke fan "justice"

Can't blame boro for being pissed off.

However if we were at home I'd love to hear what they thought of their fans being banned from attending

You don't need to wonder mate. Brentford already complained they cannot have their full allocation for the match after the international break.

Just picked up on this story of Chelsea asking for the game to be played behind closed doors. Well i'm f**king disgusted and embarrassed with this pr statement. As if we're not already the biggest target for the media and every other football fan, Who the f**k suggested this. RA was hounded out, he offered some solutions which were in Chelsea's best interest, but generally kept a low profile. Now he's away we f**k up monumentally with this. Shame on us, and i say on us because we are all labelled with the same sh*t brush.

Once again f**king embarrassing.

Honestly if we have to keep taking the bullying, then I dont even care if we are starting to try and stand up for ourselves. Yes it might not be fair on Boro, but did you see what their chairman said..sporting integrity and Chelsea dont go together  who the hell do they think they are.

That must surely stray close to libel mustn't it? If you accuse Chelsea FC of not having sporting integrity, I would assume that you must be able to back that up with some evidence.

I'm saying it again. We are f**ked and we are finished. Between singing Roman's name and this request from the club today, if there was any hope of any help from any quarter, it must now be gone.

Gibson is presumably still bitter that we beat them in their 2 cup finals back in the 90's

We are being helped, they have allowed us to carry on playing.

Are you a government spokesman? If this is help, then I wouldn't like to see them not helping us.

:laugh2: I have never voted for anyone in my life, i'm just trying to look on the bright side, we could be not playing at all for the foreseeable future.

So very generous of them given we are selling weapons to Saudi and supporting their actions in Yemen...oh wait....

Further proof football world does not care about. Our request was really poor, is comments are slanderous and appalling.

I look forward to your positive spin if the mail are not full of horsesh*t for once and we are indeed not allowed to give free tickets to the cats funeral.

tickets for a funeral, think about it for a bit.

One taking place in a stadium. I am unclear on the regulations of hosting any event at the stadium. Staffing and safety concerns, they likely need to know numbers.

If it was at church sure no need, but it is not.

I dont understand, why are some of the guys here saying this is a disgusting PR maneuver, they are disappointed by the club, etc. Let's look at the facts here:

We are honouring the memory of a club Legend and Icon with tickets being given away FOR FREE, hence, no income so that more fans can honour The Cat, the govt says Hell No, you aint doing this.

Our fans want to go to the FA Cup game and buy tickets the money of which will go to Boro, they still say no.

The club decides it had enough of this sh*t and decides to show some spine, the media goes on witch hunt and it is our fault? How?

put it in a church then.

I believe his funeral happened a few years ago. This was set up by his family now covid is on the backburner they wanted to have the memorial service at the bridge so they and the fans can celebrate his life.

Moving it to a church would not be their wish. May need to be postponed.

Yeah postpone it, sad state of affairs, but could be worse.

Initially because Boro have done nothing wrong and don't deserve to lose the income, and that call affects them not the government.

However since they made that statement I have less concerns about their wellbeing since they slandered our name.

At first it seemed so, but now it just looks like it was just for the benefit of the football schedule. Literally everything else we are being punished for.

Is tomorrows match cancelled ?

Is indeed. I am struggling to understand why us giving away free tickets is not allowed though. I thought the issue was the money possibly going to Roman's pockets. If they are free how can he get money from it?
