In the case of FA Cup it technically costs whoever we play too. Gate receipts are shared between 2 clubs.  Not sure what happens to our share in this case? Does it go to the government?

You don’t get gate receipts for the semi and final of the FA cup you get quite significant prize money for losing and of course even more for winning

As for the CL there would be  at most two  more home games and again for the final you don’t get any match receipts. So yes millions but really wish these journalists would properly research  before going to press

There are certainly bigger things at stake surrounding this war, and I am sure we all hope it comes to a speedy end with no more unnecessary blood shed. That being said the effect it has had on our club are detrimental, whatever your views are on Abramovich what can't be denied is what a fantastic owner he was and how much he did for our club over so many areas. So I am sure we are all gutted that this era is at an end, but we must look forward.

Of the potential new owners, Wyss and co, Candy and co, the Saudi Media Group etc. who are you thinking are the most suitable and would be the best for the club?

I have to say I was skeptical about having a Saudi owner, but they don't seem to be government linked and the head honcho is a young guy interested in football and most importantly supports Chelsea, I could get on board with that as long as they are properly vetted and their wealth has been accrued morally.

Uk govt not taking charge in overseeing who the new owner may be, UK sports minister telling us UK welcomes Saudi Arabia, UK trying to sign a agreement wih Saudis for oil....  have a hunch they may jus get us.

Still would stick my money on the swiss and his lot, if put on the spot

Government made a mess of this and more difficult than needed. What is the difference of Chelsea taking money for tickets that’s not allowed but in the same accounts it taking food and drink on match days. Still goes into a bank acc?

Also Under the Bridge the music venue sited under Stamford Bridge is still open. Now I'm not sure who runs the venue and they will and the performers make money from it but I would have thought that some of the money i.e. rent would have gone to Chelsea.

The Todd Boehly-Hansjorg Wyss consortium is not concerned about the bid from the Saudi backed consortium for #Chelsea. UK Government see the Boehly-led group as the 'frontrunners'. Their bid is in region of £2.5BN.

They have to allow the fans who already have tickets and ST holders to get some refreshments, they couldn't exactly stop people being fed and watered.

"There remains the suspicion that the next owner of Chelsea is yet to be mentioned. Industry experts will tell you that anyone serious enough to come up with the type of money to do a deal like this has no need for self-publicity and can forget the PR."

The Sultan of Brunei anyone?

Yes but there are obvious pitfalls if we are going with that bid. Even if approved initially we run the risk of going through this whole saga again in the Saudi's fall foul of UK gov.

Cant fall out with the other main fuel supplier, lol, UK government turn their back to all their savagery and wrong doings, luckily they'd be a separate entity  to NewSandcastles Utd

I don't know. From today's discussion around this, it seems Middlesbrough will get their share but because we cannot sell tickets we will forego our share.

Problem is that if we get the Saudi’s, it looks like the PL will introduce some sort of human rights test or rule so we might be in the same position 2/3 years down the line. I know they say they’re independent from the state but difficult to prove it really given their enormous wealth.

It’s where the money goes that I’m asking. The profit on mars bar at the Bridge is enough to buy a new striker. If they can hold money for that and have to declare the profit they could hold ticket money and disperse the money also.

Gary Neville also made the point that bar Liverpool, none of the top 6 are happy with their owners. United, Arsenal and Spurs are badly ran, Chelsea and City have “moral” issues.

Basically, you pick Americans who drain you of money or pick “immoral” owners like Saudi‘s.

Lol, we get reports that the UK government are not involved in the final decision NOW we get reports that they do.

But this is all BS. There are no “front runners” until Friday when the bidding is closed.

In some reports, Roman gets to decide as well right? Well that is true - if he lets a Spuds fan own us, no statue or respect for him.

And he is backed by some Kuwaiti dude who is supremely minted, well apparently
It could be the new owner(s) comes in and thinks lets get the new superstars in, flex his cash muscle, be an RA .2 circa 2004

For me it’s Saudi Media group. The owner is a Chelsea fan, and has promised to expand the Bridge and improve the team. They have the money and we don’t have to worry about selling our big star players to save money.

The only thing that concerns me is if the PL had to examine them…how long? We can’t drag it for too long.

The worst one will be the US-Swiss bid with the Spuds fan. That is basically the end of Chelsea Football Club and the ambition to win anything if they win. And we will have to experience even more banter by the Spuds fans.

Would need to revisit the competition rules for that  to happen

What can they do though? Sanctioning the Saudis? Doubt it. As much as people would like to see the Saudis be sanctioned, I just doesn't seem feasible because of how in the pockets the government are to Saudi Arabia.

The PL only needs one bad guy … now it's the russian

Government clearly have enough evidence to sanction Roman, and now the EU have joined in, as much as I like Roman, he’s not the squeakiest cleanest of them all. If I were you, I wouldn’t be making such bold clams like that, but rather question why aren’t we allowed to support our team? Fair enough if Roman is guilty but he’s an owner, he’s not Chelsea FC. What have the fans done? What about the catering staff? Or the merchandise staff? Even the door/stairs men? What about us? There’s so many people associated with Chelsea and the team bring so much joy to our lives, and bunch of c*nts are happy to take it all away from us so they’d look good on the rags. F*ck them.
