As much as others hate to admit, Abramovich has laid the foundations for decades of glory, the new owners will just have to sign the papers and everything is set for instant success. Top manager, top squad, top facilities, state of the art Academy. All thanks to Roman Abramovich.

While I agree with most of what you wrote it's definitly not going to be as simple as this.

We've been hopelessly far behind City for half a decade now. It's going to take a monster effort to compete with them if we intend to compete for the biggest titles.

We also need to find the right director (not a Woodward for example), we need to address our pearshaped wage-structure, the stadium, we also look set to lose our entire backline and key players in midfield are on outgoing contracts, Lukaku etc etc.

We've not been well run for a long time in my view. The quicker that changes the better.

Yeah, right now we just want new owners. I mean I don't know who I'd prefer as an owner, but a chelsea fan and someone that will care about the club and fans would be far more ideal.

Would be ideal if Sir Martin or Candy joined the Ricketts-Griffin consortium. Sounds like they are putting serious money on the table and will be investing the billions needed to turn the Bridge in to a state of the art stadium.

I am excited to hear their statement later and hopeful for the first time.

I don't know why so many are vexed by this. Who cares who they support.

No one's buying Chelsea to f**k us over because they support Tottenham.

This is an interesting point because I have had experience albeit at a lower league club where a supporter has ended up buying the club out and it ended in disaster they simply didn’t apply the sort of logic that was needed

People need to forget all this about loyalty because just like the players it’s all about the money

We seem to have managed pretty well competing with City for the biggest titles in the last couple of years.

They are ahead domestically because of Guardiola. The guy is second to none when it comes to a league campaign. He could be 20 points ahead with 2 games to go and still have his team set to play like they are the chasing team and not the other way around.

Exactly, City have been more settled in their manager over the last 5 years compared to us, but we've won the CL and they haven't.

Injuries to Chilly and Reece messed up our season, but we are still doing pretty well.

Palace another good example where two fans bought the club and they both went bankrupt.

I don't think we are as behind as it looks. We beat them in the Champions league final last year and two times before them. We've been unlucky this season with COVID, injuries, and more fixtures than usual.

One of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich's superyachts, Solaris, is heading for Turkey. Muhsin Bayrak claims to have met Abramovich, last week, to discuss buying Chelsea. A spokesperson for Mr Bayrak says another meeting was planned later this week. (Sky News) #CFC

That guy sure is making a lot of noise. Would think that with a sale like this, the noise is usually an indicator that it isn't a realistic option. probably doing it for publicity and pr for his company, get the name out there in the media in a story that is being discussed globally

Neither of those 2 bidders would be good for us anyway. The Ricketts family made a mess of a potential dynasty team with the Chicago Cubs, and the less said about the New York Jets the better.

I'm mostly in the realm of not really having a preference, but I do have a few preferences in who I do NOT want and one being woody johnson and the other being the rickett family. I'm all set on either one of those

UK Government/DCMS are working to ensure Chelsea don’t have any problems with tickets after the international break. There’s an appetite to get it resolved. There’s a possibility #CFC have an owner decided by Brentford (h) anyway. #CFC

I always felt govt would relax the ticket issue - particularly as the sale will move forward next week.

Yeah from what I’ve read,  neither of them would be great given their see it as a business and have knackered their current sports clubs.

I want an owner that will prioritise winning first and foremost. Bohley sounds like he’s a winner - it comes from the top. That’s why Roman was so successful. He demanding winning and it filtered through to even the academy

Todd Boehly's consortium bid for #Chelsea has already been submitted and does not depend on any more partners joining. The funds are already secured not only for the purchase but also to start the running of the Club.

.... if you want to just buy a club and invest a minimum amount, you buy Wolves or Leicester. You don't spend almost 3 billion on one of world's best clubs to fight Southampton for the 9th place and buy all the Lascelles and Lallanas of the world.

LOL 😅🤣😂 Laugh i nearly bought a drink ! Quote of the day for me.

I just hope that whoever buys Chelsea's first move is to remove 3 from our shirts and cancel our contract with the company. Their virtue signaling is truly appalling. We are no longer owned by Abramovich so why do they keep on  adding fuel to our fire.

It's not Bohley or Wyss I'm worried about, it's Goldstein. Goldstein has more football knowledge than the other two since he's a massive Spuds fan. So I'm going to assume Goldstein's going to lead the front of our club IF they win.

It also tells me that Bohley has zero knowledge about our rivalry with Spuds. Even Candy knows - you can't trust a Spuds fan to make Chelsea a supreme giant over his favourite club Spuds.

And for someone that said, "No one's going to buy Chelsea in billions just to fight the likes of Southampton"...LOOK AT THE GLAZERS. Glazers could have bought Southampton themselves right? Why did they choose United? Same thing happening here. Business-wise, United are very successful as it's running like a brand. That is the model we could be facing and what Goldstein may want.

This is not about Ukraine really, it's much bigger than that. It's about Russia pushing back against NATO eastward expansion. That's been going on for over 30 years now,  since even before the fall of Soviet Union when the US gave guarantees to Gorbachev that should the Soviets allow the reunification of Germany, NATO wouldn't move an inch further. Then Soviet Union fell apart and NATO, while ignoring Russia's protestations, kept absorbing eastern European countries, then Baltic states and eventually it got to Ukraine and that's when all hell broke loose.

I'm not trying to justify the war, just pointing out that what's happening is more than just Putin's crazy obsession with Ukraine.

That isn't what this is about.  Putin knows NATO isn't going to attack him.  That is just his excuse for war.

Estonia already borders Russia and is in NATO.  All Russia is doing is showing why every European nation should be on board.

Well that will be the first thing they do, we just aren't able to do it at the moment.

3 are no longer our sponsors, the contract is cancelled, we just can't print new shirts.

It wasn't cancelled , it was just suspended. Once we get a new owner they will run back to us .

The Jets franchise is one of the worst -- if not consistently the worst -- in all professional American sports. The Cubs won a world series in 2016, but that was the first in 108 years so neither owner has a history of having teams that consistently win. Plus theres all that racist crap coming out about woody johnson and muslims are his natural enemy or whatever.. just no, all around, just no no no no
