Strange how this whole situation has gone from sanctioning one particular Russian due to links to another Russian who started a war, to now trying to sh*t on a football club and destroy it as much as possible. All these people virtue signalling about it all being about Ukraine, but in reality, they just want a football club to crash and burn, they don't give a sh*t about the war.

I don't really understand why we can't have fans at away games. I imagine the issue is the share of gate receipts. But if we cannot receive any income then why not just allow the home team to keep the proceeds in that case?

Because of the nonsense of not allowing any money to possibly reach Abramovich. Surely there's a way to put the money away into an escrow account so that it doesn't go to Abramovich. The government and also the FA have made a hash of this situation.

Better research should have been done on the cost of putting on a home match and travel for away matches.

Any sympathy we had from fellow football fans not much admittedly has now completely gone with the earlier statement. Who's idea was it Buck's? it's the sort of thing one of those Instagram influencers twats would come out with '' So sorry can't make Sunday's soiree could you be a dear and cancel the whole thing mwah xx''. We were banned from away games in the 70's and 80's no mention of sporting integrity then.

Ok, thank you.

But Saudi Media claim they have no links with the Saudi Royal Family who own Newcastle. So if what they claim is true, what here - is stopping them from owning us?

A quick sale is a must, 3 serious US bids, i think it would be a lot quicker to deal with US owners.

It’s interesting that the Sports minister today has said that Saudi are an ally and even Boris has said we need a big as collation as possible. He’s visiting them next week and signing a deal worth £10bn.

Makes it interesting whether they view the Saudi Media group as a viable owner. Clearly they have the money but it’s whether they have the balls to agree the deal and push it forward. My guess is they won’t.

Saudi Media already placed a bid, so they are serious about this too...

Quick sale is a must, but it is still up to the government to decide who gets us out of the bids. And it's not like the UK government are upset with the Saudis since they clearly do a lot of business with them.

Indeed. Ideally we would have not moved the date and closed bids today. Sooner the better and hope for the best.

I read somewhere that there are 3 parties who will decide who buys the club.

1. The buyer (obviously)

2. The government

3. Roman via the Raine Group.

Number 3 gives us hope we will go in to good hands. Roman level no, but Pool have shown you don't need to be with good management, coaching and scouting.

Agreed. While the Saudi deal promises a great deal of wealth, it will likely drag and potentially bankrupt the club. US owners is more likely.

The Boro move is clearly designed to put pressure on the govt to allow to sell tickets again. It’s all politics.

Exactly, at some point we have to test what we can do. Lay down and take it up the arse and we'll continue to dance to the tune of the government who have no clue about how a football club runs.

That indeed is the biggest problem for us with their bid.

Nick Candy offered to help the club so we don't go in to admin while the process is ongoing but he may not be allowed to.

I don't know why people prefer the Swiss-US bid. When you have a Spuds fan in charge of us, you will always going to question their ambitions - because if Jonathan has ANY heart of a Spuds fan, he will take us down in a smart, sneaky way.

He is certainly a concern. I don't like the sound of the 3 us bids and hope Candy and Sir Martin have indeed found a solid backer.

Also @coco surley being a Spurs fanatic must disqualify him as a part owner in those rules? If not they clearly need amending.

He's a massive concern. If you're a Spuds fan, why the hell would you want to invest in Chelsea??? And continue to make them bigger than your favourite club?

I'd rather drag out for Saudi Media then have him controlling our club.

I'm imagining me who has a tons of money, has business acumen and owns Tottenham. I'd sink Spuds but in a slow, painful way and suck money off them if I have the chance. And it brings me inner joy.
