BlueCo buy Chelsea FC

BBC saying that the a deal could be completed by the end of the month.

Personally I think it will be close to being done by the end of the international break and fans will be allowed back in with restrictions eased. The club and govt have a short window of 3 weeks to get it done and there won’t be any major damage to the club (assuming it’s sold to the right person).

Our government is an absolute disgrace. The only difference between them and Putin is an invasion.

believe they've been killing Yemeni for several years now. I imagine there are a few reasons that people aren't up in arms over it

Will be why the Gov and Raine favour WBG bid. Fit and proper thing likely goes easy.

Todd is worth about 3.63mill, Goldstein has assets Worth 8bill but not sure on liquid cash, wyss is worth about 3.85mill. So buying the club would drain the original two

FYI I just noticed that the Saudi's placed a 2.7 billion pound bid on Chelsea.

these are different Saudis to the Newcastle Saudis? You aren't allowed to have an interest in more than one club as far as I know

You’ve alll heard the expression “beggars can’t be choosers” ?  That old chestnut is most apt to the current predicament the  club and us fans find ourselves in. I don’t care who buys the club tbh as long as one of the parties can get it done with the scum Tory government (who sell billions of quid of munitions and weaponry to Saudi Arabia for their use in committing war crimes against civilians in Yemen) in a timely manner and save the club from tapping out like it nearly did in the 70s & 80s. If the new owners want to carry on with the success or just tread water so be it, let’s worry about that once the clubs future is secured.

True but being part owned by a Spurs fanatic....

@just how would that make you feel?

Tilman Fertitta

Fertitta, whose wealth is estimated by Forbes magazine at $6.2 billion (£4.8 billion), is the owner of the Houston Rockets basketball. He is among the parties given access to a data room by the merchant bank overseeing the sale.

New one given access to our accounts.

Also the PM is not happy with our banner and backing of Roman.

Chelsea fans must stop the "completely inappropriate" chanting of Abramovich's name, the Prime Minister's spokesman has said.

Blues supporters again expressed their backing for Abramovich during Sunday's home match against Newcastle.

The billionaire has brought unprecedented success to Chelsea since he bought the club in 2003, but Boris Johnson's official spokesman insists supporters should not let that blind them to Abramovich's association to the man leading the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

"We recognise the strength of feeling around people's clubs but that does not excuse behaviour which is completely inappropriate at this time," he said.

"I think people can show passion and support for their club without resorting to that sort of stuff"

So now they're telling us what we can and can't sing? f**k off.

Yeah I think we shouldn't sing his name anymore, ultimately his alliance with Putin is why we are at risk. He had his adulation when he was our owner and I won't be celebrating him anymore.

But, let's have us fans make that decision, as clearly they are. One song by a small section of fans does not need a government response.

I'm optimistic about who buys us keeping us successful. We have the foundations and we have the fan base. We just need the stadium and our future will be secured for decades.

However it can't be saudis. I'm fed up with trying to convince myself Roman isn't tied to the Russian government....do any of us want to do that again with the saudis 😂

To be fair, the fans that pay money to attend can sing what they like, even if we don't agree with it. It is also probably a rebellious minority who think Roman has been unfairly treated. Again, we might not agree, but they are paying their hard earned money to go to watch the games.

Ill timed, selfish and dumb. No other way to see it really. Probably some beers in, uncertainty about our future and mob mentality and you see heights of human intelligence on display.

Anyway it is done, lets move on.

Some fans will want to sing it simply because they keep telling them to stop singing it.

So you mean like small children behave?

If you think about it this whole situation is so Chelsea FC. Absolute chaos. What comes after this is unknown. Probably the common denominator in our Roman-era excistence is well...chaos.

I really hope the staff of the club is protected in every way. These people are on 'normal' wages, doing the whole club proud. They should all be safe.

I can still see a good ending to all this. New owner, good path but also the grim future....

Up and down, up and down.

Boris Johnson and co can go and get f**ked. Whether I disagree with the singing of his name or not, there is no chance I would ever listen to these morally corrupt chancers. As far as I am concerned, they are in no position to ever accuse anybody of being inappropriate.
