March 6, 20197 yr I think we'll need closer to 80 to finish 4th. The lower half seems weaker this year than I can remember. At the very least we will need to beat United to make sure of it.
March 6, 20197 yr All depends on which Chelsea team turns up, here’s hoping we had our season dip and are coming good now. Also hoping ManU and Arsenal have peaked and we are now seeing there demise. Otherwise I agree, just to difficult to predict who loses and wins to who this season
March 7, 20197 yr I think with perhaps the exception of City all the other teams will drop unexpected points yet also may win against opposition they don't normally. The winning margins seem so slim these days.
March 7, 20197 yr Last night's result is great for us. Makes United have to play at least another round. Continue to stretch their squad etc. Their crowd won't tolerate focusing on top 4 at the expense of Europe. Ideal outcome is they get Ajax or Porto and so have a chance of continuing on.
March 7, 20197 yr Well Ajax will beat them imho given how good they are. As for top 4, I would also hope we win the UEL. But I feel we might fcuk it up for some reason. Edited March 7, 20197 yr by Londonisblue
March 7, 20197 yr So the best result for the weekend would be a man u arsenal draw i guess, followed by a Chelsea win obviously.

March 9, 20197 yr Caught some of Football Focus on the BBC and Kilbane and Jenas were asked who would make up the top four outside of Liverpool and Man City. Kilbane, 'Utd and Spurs' Jenas, 'Chelsea........' Klibane, 'What no Utd?' Jenas. 'Er....just can't see Chelsea not making the top four, guess Spurs and Chelsea.'

March 9, 20197 yr 3rd if we win our games in hand now. spurs Haha title challenge to 5th in 3 weeks, and they still have away games at city and liverpool.
March 9, 20197 yr We seriously need to focus on our games and not drop stupid points as top 4 even top 3 is well alive now!
March 9, 20197 yr f**k me Tottenham really are bottle jobs ahahahah! Perfect opportunity for us to come storming back tomorrow. Would be great if Arsenal and Utd could draw and we beat Wolves tomorrow!! COME ON YOU CHELSSSS
March 9, 20197 yr Spurs still have to go Liverpool and City, and they will no doubt be distracted as long as they stay in Champs League. I think we will need to pick up 24/25 points from our remaining games to finish 3rd so we will a run of consistent wins. But it looks more possible than it did a few weeks ago.

March 10, 20197 yr We really need the 3 points today, this is a massive statement of intent to the teams above us. I don't doubt it will be a tough game, Wolves are the best of the rest.
March 10, 20197 yr I think for us to get top 4 we will really need to have a very strong end to the season. United will be right up there, I’m sure Spurs form will return. The slightest error will determine it. For me, I don’t trust this Chelsea team. There’s been too many ups and down this season for us to be confident that we will beat Spurs and United Who for me, are better quality wise. Edited March 10, 20197 yr by JM7
March 10, 20197 yr I think today could be pivotal. I saw a probability table which has specialists making predictions based on numerous different factors and according to them we are overwhelming factories to get 4th, I think our chances is like 65% while Arsenal and United are in the 20s. If I find it again I'll post it here. I would say a win today combined with anything but a United win at The Emirates would have us firmly in the driving seat.
March 10, 20197 yr Author Another interesting aspect to this top four battle are the managers. Three rookie EPL managers, up against EPL veteran Poch. You would think that the experience of several EPL campaigns would help, but it's becoming increasingly clear as we approach the tail of the season that Poch doesn't seem to learn from one season to the next. OGS is the rookie manager still on his honeymoon, the fixtures have favoured him so far, the honeymoon always ends at some point. Emery at 47 with 15yrs experience in management in several leagues, that will surely help him in this period. And Maurizio the grand daddy of the four, bags of experience, tonnes of stubbornness, possibly just the man needed to fight to the finish. I'm confident we have the right manager for this particular job.
March 10, 20197 yr Author Another dent in our crusade for top 4. We still have time to pull it out of the fire.
