Not for Slavia, they closed us down really well and made it difficult for us to play our football.

Tactics wise Slavia got it spot on, made us really uncomfortable. Sarri will need to tweak a few tactic changes, maybe Kovacic in regista and put Kante on for Jorginho?

I know we need to rest players for this weekend but Jorginho is going to play so we may as well take him off..

I just think we need to play long balls up to giroud and try pick up the pieces.

We arent good enough to play through their press with this 11.

Sarri will obviously not do that though. Maybe they will start to tire.

Crazy to think most of this team have been regulars for us this season. A lot of players either not good enough, or no longer good enough.

Slavia look decent though, comfortably the best team we've played in Europe this season.

William has been fine as has Barkley   We just aren’t doing well against the high press and the attack lacks pace and precision on the fast break.   We should be n]better in h2

I think Willian and Barkley have been poor. Barkley looks uncomfortable on the ball and Willian has been throwing his arms in the air when he losses the ball and his end product has been sloppy, as it always is.

You could swap Slavia for a whole host of teams we’ve played this season in that season. Even games we’ve managed to win have been uncomfortable. I think that’s possibly what Sarriball is.

I think the performance reflects the quality of the team that we have out there. Many of these players are squad options at best. One of the reasons we were struggling in the league for a while is that many of these same players were starting.

To be fair to Slavia Prague, they've pressed us very effectively. Traore in their midfield has won everything loose in the middle. It genuinely looks like it's been a surprise to our players how good they've been, which surely shouldn't be the case.

On the negative side Alonso's been awful, Pedro and Giroud haven't been able to hold a ball, and (despite a generally good work rate) our midfield trio can't find a pass forward.

Need to see more from Willian too, he's been our only attacking threat so far but he's flitting in and out of the game. Unlucky with his trademark snap and curl shot.

We miss Kante's tenacity, Luiz's vision and Hazard's magic, but there's enough quality on the pitch to get an important away win here. Need the "fringe" players to step up second half, this lineup's a lot better than that first half performance.

Can't believe that was Chelsea playing in the first half. I can't name a player that actually performed well and did something for the team.

It looks like the players aren't interested in playing, only Willian has made some moves and tried to score.

Just seen it, and like you say, they are f**king idiots. They have ruined thier chances of ever going to another Chelsea game that's for sure.

I think there are several youth/loan players that would offer much more than some of those starting tonight, given the chance. The likes of Ampadu, Mount, James, Da Silva etc.

Of course there is and that’s the most frustrating thing about this. Those players would not be as poor as some of the ones we have out there, but because they’re not experienced and we didn’t pay for them they don’t get a look in.

Absolutely. Giroud will score I reckon.

Ref is leaning towards the home team. He gives freekicks from even a slightest touch to them but not to us.

Good timing that comment :laugh2:

There’s no urgency from this lot, when the ball needs to be released or someone needs to be on their bike making a run nobody bothers.

With our current first XI there is nothing but. Barkley and Kovacic slow us down.
