June 27, 20206 yr I thought if we beat city we would finish 3rd. I’m sticking with that the break seems to have done us good getting key players back to fitness. This would be a fantastic season under frank.
July 1, 20206 yr Seems like whoever drops points first will be in trouble. If we drop points, it makes us catchable but if United/Wolves drop points, they’re out of it.
July 1, 20206 yr I can see it going to the wire. Leicester, I believe, will drop out of top four and Utd we push us to the limit. They will win most of their remaining games, barring maybe one or two which they will draw. I can see us drawing a game and losing one over the next couple weeks. At the end I reckon there will be at most 2 points in it for top four.

It's imperative we win all of our games if we want to be sure. I can see us losing at least one game though and dropping a couple points elsewhere. With our upcoming fixtures, I just don't see how we come away unscathed against the likes of West Ham, Watford or Wolves. Liverpool may pay us a favour at the end by putting out a weakened side, but no guarantee. We always seem to slip up against opponents we least expect to. Just hope we can drop at most a couple points for the rest of the season, but I'm naturally a bit more of a pessimist when it comes to football.

July 2, 20206 yr It's going down to the last game, could win the next 4 if we defend properly and the striker shows up, or could easily use a couple and be out of it. There's little consistency with the team, can not explain concede 3 ( should be 4) against a team at the bottom, and 2 good games against team 2 and 3.
July 2, 20206 yr The difference between before and now is that United is really stronger and more consistent. And with a favorable schedule. It seems obvious to me that they will end up in third place. We can beat City and not be able to win a game against West Ham, the Russian roulette continues, it may be that Leicester and Wolves can be worse than us. Edited July 2, 20206 yr by Mr. President
July 2, 20206 yr There's still the possibility that Man City could be ban from CL next season right? So finishing 5th still offers a chance to make CL, however slim it maybe.

We are 1 loss and reverse from them both of being 6th, and Europa League.
July 2, 20206 yr Well if we win 3 and draw 1 and lets say ManU and Wolves win all of the next 4 games, we will have the same amount of points all 3 of us, right before playing the last two games vs Liverpool and Wolves. So I'm still hoping that United loses a game in the near future! Liverpool won't do us any favours that's for sure.

All 6 games are wins for them imo. Edited July 2, 20206 yr by axman2526

July 2, 20206 yr Author 4 down, 6 to go. Everton (H) = Won Aston Villa (A) = Won Manchester City (H) = Won West Ham United (A) = Loss Watford (H) Crystal Palace (A) Sheffield United (A) Norwich City (H) Liverpool (A) Wolves (H) Ladder: 3. Leicester City = 55 (+29) - Next match is Crystal Palace at home 4. Chelsea = 54 (+13) - Next match is Watford at home 5. Manchester United = 52 (+20) - Next match is Bournemouth at home 6. Wolves = 52 (+11) - Next match is Arsenal at home A real shame we lost to West Ham twice this season and wasted an opportunity to be sitting in 3rd spot today.
July 2, 20206 yr I didn’t think that we would win all of our remaining games and there would be a blip somewhere. What’s important is that we reset and win the remaining. I imagine Liverpool away will be tough though. United have Bournemouth (h) and Villa (a). Similarly, I don’t see them winning all of their games but it’s really hard to see where they will drop points. Just have to hope they throw a surprise in for us like we did.
July 2, 20206 yr Desperately need to win the next 4 games to give us a fighting chance in the last 2 games now after that embarrassing effort last night. I just cant see where United are dropping points atm and Wolves are bang on form as well. Edited July 2, 20206 yr by Cone

But who knows at the moment, we could easily get 4. Leicester who knows, wouldn't be surprised if they get 0 points.

July 2, 20206 yr Crazy to think that by the time we play on Saturday, we could well be 6th. This league is mental. Such fine margins that slip ups have to be avoided.
