July 13, 20206 yr Ahahahahaha and Utd thought they were going to challenge for the title next season after beating a couple relegation battlers! Southampton have done us a massive favour though, 3 games left and Utd vs Leicester is one of them, so one of them is dropping points again. need 3 against Norwich and hopefully can pull off a masterclass against Liverpool Edited July 13, 20206 yr by driller97
July 13, 20206 yr We got away with that! we better win tomorrow! I think if we get 6 points from our remaining 3 games we are guaranteed top4. Regardless of what Leicester or manure do .
July 13, 20206 yr Did the commentator keep praising Fernandes all game to make up for the fact he was woeful now he's played against a team that actually closes him down.

Regardless of what Leicester or manure do . Not quite. If we get 66 points total, Leicester and United might both have 65 points the final day. If they draw, they also have 66 and they move past us because of better goal difference. They both need to win all their games though, so 6 points would probably be sufficient.
July 13, 20206 yr Still don’t fancy us to get something from Wolves. They’re tricky buggers. As for Liverpool, if we could somehow get a point, that would be great. They do owe us.
July 13, 20206 yr Heres my theory. Leicester will lose to the blades and Tottenham will do us no favours and get turned over. So that puts leicester on 62, manure will win both the next 2 putting them on 65, we will beat norwich and draw with the scousers, that puts us on 64. Which means if we want to guarantee it we will have to beat Wolves or just hope Leicester collapse against utd ?
July 13, 20206 yr We will beat norwich leicester will lose both games against Sheffield united and spurs, and we will be top 4 with a game to spare.

Funny now as I think most of us would prefer him not to see the pitch this time around.

Pogba was poor too! Martial and Rashford were the only two who played ok tonight. Southampton are no mugs tho! Their manager has done a good job making them a hard working, well organnised side who knock the ball around nicely.
July 13, 20206 yr We'd already be home and dry if it wasn't for the comedy defending from the worst defense and keeper of the last 20 years.

In that scenario we are guaranteed to finish above Leicester but, depending on other results, we may still need to avoid defeat against Wolves last game. Unless Wolves drop points against Burnley or Palace we can only avoid that scenario by winning against Norwich and Liverpool

July 14, 20206 yr Given how unpredictable results are, it’s highly likely that we will need to win against Wolves on the final day.
July 14, 20206 yr Lol Leicester ain't losing to Sheffield at home. Don't make so cocky unrealistic predictions you guys based on our silly defense and the terrible performance against the blades.
July 14, 20206 yr Author A weekend of slip ups for all three teams. Due to City's ban being lifted yesterday, we must finish top 4 to qualify for the Champions League. 7 down, 3 to go. Everton (H) = Won Aston Villa (A) = Won Manchester City (H) = Won West Ham United (A) = Loss Watford (H) = Won Crystal Palace (A) = Won Sheffield United (A) = Loss Norwich City (H) Liverpool (A) Wolves (H) Ladder: 3. Chelsea = 60 (+14) - Next match is Norwich at home 4. Leicester City = 59 (+29) - Next match is Sheffield United at home 5. Manchester United = 59 (+26) - Next match is Crystal Palace away

In fact, i honestly can't remember a top 6 as weak as this. Oh come on lets not start with the whole "weak opposition" sh*t that there was after Sarri got us to 3rd the league overall is stronger than its ever been far more "lower" teams able to get results over the traditional bigger ones,

It's not a cocky prediction. Sheffield united are genuinely the better team for the last 10 games.

I’m sure you would have said the same if I’d told you they’d get beat 4-1 by relegation shoe ins Bournemouth.

If it comes down to the final day, we would want either one of Leicester or Manchester United to defeat the other especially if both teams are on 65 points at that stage. Chelsea can afford to win 2 games and draw 1 and still finish top 4, as they will be on 67 points. Simply put, we must beat Norwich. Edited July 14, 20206 yr by Jezz
July 14, 20206 yr Must win game tonight, will definitely ease the pressure on us and put it on both Leicester and Utd for their next game.
July 14, 20206 yr Tonight *should* be a gimme. Then we need something from Liverpool, who we have performed well against this season and they've been poor since winning the league, so a draw is conceivable. Wolves will be difficult as they're in great form and very good going forward, so we're likely to ship a couple of goals. Probably a defeat, if we're honest. I cant see Leicester getting another win this season. 3 of their back 4 (pereira, soyuncu and chilwell) are out injured or suspended and they look toothless going forward (possibly becuase of maddison being out too). Sheff Utd will at least get a point as theyve been in great form. Spurs will probably be a 0-0 draw as theyve been sh*t too. Then United should tear them apart on the final day. I think we'll end up with top 4 relatively comfortably. Maybe.

July 14, 20206 yr It's a bit like last year, all the teams want to be in the top 4 yet all f* up in the last 8-10 games. I thought we were gone last year after beat up by City, but Arsenal/United etc kept us going by throwing points away. It's all starting from tonight, just play the best team ( if we know one) and get the 3 points. I reckon on several occasions this season, manager/players/fans just overlook the next game and think too far ahead, and got the surprise on the day by the other sh1t team who actually showed up to play for points.
