I'd feel more confident of that Coco if the club made some official comment on where he is in terms of his recovery from the surgery, his fitness and a guesstimate of his possible availability. It's deathly quiet on all of it and to me he looked a deeply unhappy camper sitting behind the bench yesterday.

If we bought in another striker and Broja was third choice i would worry for him. The fact we haven't surely is a sign the club is backing him to return ?

But when is that return likely to be? And how do we know he will be the same player after such a major injury? Only a couple of weeks or so until the end of the transfer window and, with Nkunku out until next year, we have to have a fit and ready backup for Jackson in place.

Yeah it's always going to be a gamble after a year off, but he does have youth on his side, he was never going to make a comeback in a big game, if he's on the bench for WH we can relax a little bit and give him time to reintegrate.

So long as he's fit enough to come off the bench and start most cup games we should be fine. 

Reassess in January. 

He also has even less experience than Jackson. His mobility and strength showed promise pre-injury and that's it.

Bit of gamble no? You would assume, if he is fully recovered and fit, he would be starting up front in the league cup against Wimbledon on 28th August. Tight schedule.

Just thought there would be more updates on him coming out of the club.

I know he managed to score in the Dortmund game, but in the minutes he had on the pitch in the pre-season games he looked well off it and one that really needs to go out on loan.

Think he stays another season alternating between U21s and first team. 

I reckon he can hold his own against League 2 opposition. 

Broja was involved in the same training session as the rest of the first team squad in the video that the club released before the Liverpool game. Probably very close to being available for selection ? 

Will get used and assessed in the cup games if he starts smashing goals he will be used as proper competition for jackson

Maybe the club have finally learnt their lesson and we’re not rushing players back anymore?

Could be back in the next week or so. Excited to see him in this team as he looked to have a great attitude, combative and competitive, puts himself about a bit.

Not having a preseason really f**ked him. Always felt he was being rushed back when I heard the news he'd be "fit" for preseason.

Perhaps the media have now decided we are a threat this season, and hence the agenda has shifted to de-stabilising the squad !

If AC Milan win the league Chelsea should be able to claim the title.

Their game the other night had Tomori, RLC, Giroud, Pulisic all starting and Giroud/Pulisic getting the two goals. Fed up of sending players to Italy for peanuts because the clubs are broke and the players then being worth 5x as much.

5x as much but to who? They were always going to perform in Serie A, a pedestrian league, and v Bologna in particular. A mid-table team at best. They couldn't do it in the PL, at least on anything like a regular basis.

They'd want at least 3x what they paid for Tomori now. Giroud still firing was worth far more than £855k. Pulisic we probably got fair value. RLC personally think he would've done well at a lower prem club but was probably fair value. He'll have a class season and Milan will want £60m for him soon though.

That's what i was saying, if Chelsea went to buy any of their players it would be as you say 3 x what we would sell them for. It's called 'taking the piss'
