Armando Broja

Seems that he suffered a serious knee injury during the friendly with Villa today. Doesn't sound good. Praying that it is sprained or bruised but fact he was carried off sounds really worrying.

We are so unlucky! The sheer amount of injuries were getting these past couple of seasons is just not normal. I hope it turns out not to be too serious and he gets back to playing football soon.

Why the f**k are we even playing stoopid friendlys with half the team missing. f**king pointless.

All/most teams are doing it. They have been off football for a few weeks so they need to regain match sharpness. Also a few players have not played any football and will have gone a whole month without playing. Broja himself, Aubameyang, Fofana, James, Chalobah, Jorginho, Cucurella. Also gives chance for younger ones to impress too.

A really unlucky injury, but can't blame the match itself as players need game time to regain fitness and focus. We don't get much breaks with injury over the last few years, sometime I felt even with 30 players we will be short comes game day

You can see on the above video his leg/knee turning to almost jelly and bending in to unnatural positions. That on top of his screaming in such pain says to me several damaged ligaments in the knee.

I would be surprised if he is playing again before 2024, and may never be the same player again.

Heartbreaking that injury for Broja. Reading by some comments that had a similar injury that could potentially be career ending. I hope we get some official clarification soon. Devastated.

It is not a common speculation but some had put forward the injury is so bad his career would be seriously impacted, as in around 2 years recovery and no longer having the pace he has could harm his chances at the top level.

Not seen any saying his career is literally over and he would need to retire though.

Oh god, is my life not enough of a vale of tears as it is :shok: !? Don't say horrible stuff like that, you never know who reads it...

I can't imagine Broja being fit again for the season.

Ronaldo for 6 months. I can definitely see this being discussed internally right now.

Unsolicited interviews every week between Lukaku and him? You don't want that???

Ruined Joe Cole and Essien's potential. Latter was bound to be the best CM in the world.

The last one I remember this bad at first glance was Zouma and he was out for almost a year to the day IIRC.

I can't believe I'm saying it but if we're still clearly winging performances when we return I'd actually be reasonably tempted.

He'd have quite possibly shat us out a result against Arsenal despite how bad we were on the day.

However if there's more promise in our performances against Bournemouth, Forest and City regardless of the results then I'm back to a straight no.

Your description is enough for me , ain't gonna be watching it. What a f**king disaster though

It looked so innocuous up until the contact and the scream.  Really feel for him - we all await news but the longer it goes on the more concerning this becomes.

Fingers crossed less severe than first appeared.

Reckon we were linked with him well before Broja's injury. Fits the profile of young and has a lot of potential.

Still very raw I am reading.

I'm starting to get a bit concerned we're going a bit too far the other way with this youth project.
