Alright, so what is he great at? At the moment, all I see is him being praised for being from the academy. I have not really seen anyone specifically say where his qualities are,

You got that from him coming on every game on the 81st minute. Maybe if he got a run of games, you would see what hes good at. Even then with no match fitness at all and no game rhythm, hes still looking more sharp than the rest of our forward line.

I'm not seeing the excitement around this guy at all. I know people are desperate for some spark to come from the squad, but I'm not seeing it. He looks slow and clumsy. More like a big lump for a lower side than for a team like Chelsea.

I won't be coming to you for scouting advice 😉

Don't want to call him overrated because he has potential to be a good player but he's definitely over hyped by fans. I keep waiting to see the spark fans have been talking about, but he isn't playing any better than our other strikers.

Think we need to play him alongside Auba.

He's decent, although the hype on him should go down a bit. Lack of creativity is a ever present feature this season, but none of our attackers are taking the game on and deliver the moment of class when required.

I don’t see the hype yet around him!!!

This is a guy crying out for the Drogba mentoring that happened a few years back. Needs to play between the sticks more. Needs to bully and lay off to a supporting cast.  Unfortunately that supporting cast have a craven attitude towards putting in a hard shift off the ball.

When he is given the opportunity to attack the goal in a 15 to 20 yard space rather than hoovering up every long punt to try and make something of it whilst the other bozos jog along up the pitch, then we can really judge whether he can cut it at this level.

Exactly. He was feeding on scraps. I don't get how any striker in our set up would thrive yesterday. Maybe put him in a team where we actually create chances. The line up was poor. Football was poor and the team just clueless. Any striker would have struggled yesterday. There was no width, no creativity. Harsh to blame him. We were awful to watch and the line up set out to play indicated the style of football we would play.

He’s definitely playing better than our other striker (we do only have the two) because I’m aware he’s actually on the pitch when he plays.

What supporting cast?

My point exactly

I don’t doubt he’s our best hope right now and should play. And whilst it is a somewhat thankless task playing up front for Chelsea, even at the best of times, my one concern about him is a lack of showing that sometimes he can make something happen all by himself. That’s what makes the best centre forwards the best. They don’t always need to rely on service. Something out of nothing.

Against the barcodes on one occsion he had his back to goal with a defender on his back and still got a shot on target, that's a good sign, a striker than can master that is a true striker...

I read somewhere that he picked up an ankle injury during an international friendly against Italy.
