A few have pointed out Everton are in mess with their ownership so won't be doing anything about transfers in.

Could be Ben Jacobs released this to get interest going for us.

Just read several parties looking to buy Everton now the bids are open again.

Even one grp with Saudi links...

Apparently the new stadium is drawing in the potential buyers.

CHO (god i miss him)

The story is that supposedly we have something between 50& 70% of any sell on and there is quite a significant release number which a couple of clubs are said to be thinking about meeting

CHO had a decent season but he is one hiccup from another longte ram absence

Makes sense considering we sold him for peanuts.

Didn't even make it off the bench for Albania today. Kids career is nosediving.

2-2 a good result for Albania and a good game for the neutral.  Yeah, I was surprised not to see him get some minutes.

He really didn't do much in the first match when you compare the effort they just put into the second.

We offered players but they just wanted cash

Yep, I read trev and someone else was offered and it was turned down. Then a cash deal which was low then they got him on the third go with higher cash amount.

Pedro Neto has been given #19 for the upcoming campaign. I think this all but seals Broja's approaching departure. Never been fully convinced by Broja but the etiquette of stripping a player of his shirt number before even having confirmed his departure is not a good look for the club, tasteless...

Oh, I didn't know the numbers were officially assigned yet. I thought that happens when the 25man squad gets handed in after the transfer window ends.

They aren't "technically" you are right. So then why didn't Neto take number 7?

It stinks of another passive aggressive 'we want you to leave' tactic. Not the best way to handle things.

Maybe they're giving Broja #9

Maybe Broja knew all this and he was asked about it or given heads up...just maybe..why would you get upset for something that most probably don't affect the "target". It is very "2024" (to get upset for someone else's sake) I understand but no need until (if) he comes out and spills his guts.

How dare you put a common sense forward.

As I have said on here before some want, yes want, the new owners to be shown up and are latching on to anything if it suits their negative narrative

I'm sure Broja will be fine. As a fan I'm more worried about our image as a football club.

Yes I know this. And I understand it as the owners are doing something different to Roman and actually the footballing world. Fans, rivals and pundits are wondering and criticising without really knowing too much. Especially pundits strike me as extra-dumb. Someone like Frank Leboeuf seems like a massive idiot. Probably part of the idea of that dumb show he is on ESPN. Anyway enough about pundits. It is meant to be circus.

New owners are in a period they are under a loop and we don't know how they fare. Fans are simple, win and everything else is irrelevant (simplified).

I think the scale is Manchester - end up like 2024 City winning the titles or like United who are known and loved by around the world and money thrown in the squad but results are nowhere to be seen. At this very moment it looks like United but if we start winning in coming years it could tilt towards City as well....Or it could be like relegated City of 2025 😃

What feels to me we are fine is the owners care about money. If you really care about the money you need to make the football winning brand of football. We can see this with Liverpool and Newcastle. Both big clubs in the nineties and still were BUT seriously dipped (revenue, exposure) after they didn't keep up with MU, Chelsea or Arsenal 2000-2015. They lost at least one generation of fans by under-performing at that period. World-wide fans I mean.

Now you can argue MU hasn't won anything and is still a powerhouse but I am 100% sure they would be much bigger if they actually won something meaningful.

Re-Broja. Hope we manage to sell him for our squad and his sake. Good lad but need a couple of seasons of regular football.

I don't know how that affects that..maybe. I don't see it personally.

You're not sure how sending an academy first teamer to train with the u21s in order to force him to leave the club while also stripping him of his squad number before he has even secured a move, all in a bid to pressure him into moving just so we can consolidate poor transfer policies so we don't get into financial trouble affects our image?

If so there's nothing to discuss here.

Has any of that actually happened? Or are you just creating scenarios to get upset about?

But was he in line of beating Jackson and Nkunku for a first team spot? Hasn't he been in the shopping window since before he went on loan to Fulham? Did he perform well there or did his stock rise? Isn't he himself pretty sure he is going out?

Broja will never be a starter here. However the way we've been treating academy graduates the last few seasons, as commodities who are only there to be developed and sold on to fund our transfer addiction has never been and should never be the Chelsea way.
