This doesn't make any sense, we've sold plenty of players for very good fees the past few years, when have we had our pants pulled down?

Billy Gilmour

Not pulling up any trees at Brighton. His size was always going to be an issue with him. For all the youthful promise he has matured into a decent player at best.

Back on topic. What is actually happening with Broja? On the market, obviously, but little or no news.

Forgot. It happens with age.

I'd say we have done ok with sales but when it comes to loans we've has our pants pulled down more times than Katie Price

Weve made loads of money from loans over the past 4 or 5 seasons, its been a good earner for the club in this FFP bullsh*t period.

We even made money from Broja twice, once a loan fee, once a fee because he didnt play enough.

It's hard to properly assess the totality of the  financial implications of a loan. Too many factors. Loan fee in, question over share of wages, devaluing contract. Also the sheer volume of them. Players spread all over Europe in weird locations like Ryanair hubs.

And not just youngsters.  The number of high cost players we have loaned out year on year like Lukaku.  We probably still have Veron on our books!

News coming in that Everton are looking to put in a £30m bid.

Snap their f**king hands off.

That would match our rumoured price. He needs regular game time. If Everton are offering that I hope he gets the move. Cannot recover from such an injury not playing.

Never would’ve imagined we’d fetch over 20m for him. FANTASTIC business.

Some say Everton want it done quick as other clubs are interested and could make offers themselves soon. Wolves, Milan and unnamed Europe and PL clubs.

So just Wolves then.

Lol yeah probably.

Does say a "package deal". Could mean Everton are offering 5mill fee, plus a one off 15mill if Broja scores 20 or more goals in any single season with them for his time there, plus a one off 5mill if Everton make top 4 in any of Brojas seasons there, plus 5mill if Everton win the PL.

So yeah, could be worth all of 5mill lol.

If, and is a big IF, club sells off the academy players they want to sell for the prices they want for them will give plenty of coverage for next year's PSR.

Gallagher 50mill

Maatsen 35mill

Broja 30mill

Chalobah 25mill

Matos 10mill

(Lewis Halls move to Newcastle is considered on this year's PSR).

Some are saying Mounts £55m transfer counts towards this year's PSR

Aye it does. Along with Halls move and the bonus payments/loan fee for Kepa, Maatsen, Broja.

A few have pointed out Everton are in mess with their ownership so won't be doing anything about transfers in.

Could be Ben Jacobs released this to get interest going for us.

Yep, I read it as a carrot to draw us or others in to have a sniff at DCL who I think they may well need to sell.

£30 million for a striker with a handful of EPL goals over a couple of seasons, and who has never seemingly recovered from a career threatening injury. Rip off!

£30 million for a young and up and coming striker, who has plenty of EPL experience, is physically imposing and a full international - still in his early 20s. One of a very small number of genuine prospects at CF,  in a world where Brewster cost Sheffield utd £25m without ever playing a game in the premier league. Bargain!

Multiple ways to look at it….
