Score 10 at Fulham and his price tag could go up to where we value him.

Scores 10 at Fulham might increase his price tag but just highlights how sh*te the rest of our players are, if Fulham can create enough for him to score 10 goals in 6 months

I suppose if Nkunku is match it, Jackson is back, we should be  🤫 fine to get through the rest of the season. If he scored 10 goals at Fulham, just prove there's something wrong with our team, or maybe Fulham have better attackers than us. Next summer will be interesting, we won't have another Mount calibre player to sell to raise 60M, teams won't even pay 20m for Broja

Gallagher. Colwill. James. All the FFP freebies will be in the shop window now.

Well he does have Willian, who is still a bit special.

Yeah depends on who is interested and fitness.

I mean the big IF with Reece is can he finally be free of injuries? If he can do that for just one season we could easily get 60mill for him.

Conor and Levi I don't think someone would pay us that much for, we would pay more if we were the buyer though.

There's a reason why the architect of the false-9 system; Guardiola, has never integrated it properly anywhere else apart from at Barcelona where he has the best player of all time in that position. If Guardiola only uses that system whenever his regular striker is unavailable that tells you that you that it's a very niche system that only works when you have the very best players at your disposal. All teams that have tried to replicate it since have failed. The fact we even try it is comical really.

Brilliant post. Spot on.

Yet to start a game. Poor decision making from the board once again, would of at least been better off on the Chelsea bench as a back up option.

Not sure it was a bad loan, just shows what level he is currently at. If he can’t dislodge Muniz who is a backup to Jimenez they he has no business at a PL club. Muniz was out on loan last season at a Championship club where he was average, seems he has raised his game since Broja came in. Marcos Silva can’t bench a player who has scored 4 goals in his last 5 games.

A loan at the end of January with your only other forward being Nicolas Jackson was never the right call. Even if Broja is championship level, its better we had a championship level striker as back up on our bench than have nobody at all. Nkunku is not a striker, neither is Palmer.

Good luck to the kid. Hope he is fully over the injury, gets regular minutes and becomes the player we all want him to be. Obviously that excludes @Whats_The_Mata? aka BrojaBangedMyWife.

I think we loan Borja because we want to sell him in the summer.

But if you want to sell Borja in the summer, this is the best way to increase his value. On paper he will get more playing time in Fulham.

If we could only get a £3m fee for Hudson-Odoi, then I am at a loss to understand why our Owners/DoFs think we can get a huge fee for Broja, even if he gets a few games at Fulham (which is not looking likely at the moment) ...

We do have that in Sutter who has been on fire in the reserves (I think 5 goals in his last 5), and Washington seems to be settling in (3 goals & 1 assist in the last 2) but Poch would rather stick 2 GKs on the bench. The 18-19yr old kids that Liverpool brought on against us were from there u21 side, even Quansah started the season at U21 but Klopp fast tracked him because of injury to Matip. Connor Bradley still floats between the U21s & the first team squad.
IMO the idea when we loaned out Broja was to have Washington step up to the first team but somehow Poch doesn’t get it.

I don't think we want some huge fee but we certainly want to prop his value up.

I believe his loan contract for Fulham is constructed so the more he play, the less fee we get.

Unless your young st is a freak physically, the last thing that you want to do in PL is throw in straight away. They will get mauled.

CB is slightly different, most young CB are already big, they probably are not ready to play week in week out, but most of them are fine. Colwil has the same age as quansah.

Encouraging that these guys are finding some form in PL2. We've also got Richards, Morgan and Tyrique George to keep an eye on. Hopefully some good loans for all of them in 24/25 (not sure the 5 of them are ready to play in PL yet ?)

I did notice that we've climbed up to 4th in the PL2 table. Big strides from where we were earlier in the season.

Also noticed that they've been playing 3-4-3 in the recent upturn of form, and not once 4-2-3-1 in any game so far. I thought it was strange that we are developing our youth in a different formation to what the first team are playing. I guess that's down to our wonderful Directors of Football LOL.

No one is saying he should start them, it’s more a case of 10-15mins towards the end of the game. Washington’s skill set means he can have those mins at a “10” behind the CF or on the wings. That is where he has been effective for the U21s. Palace are taking this approach with Franca who we were linked to in the summer, and Barca are doing the same with Vitor Roque.

Jackson is one yellow away from a 2 match ban, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he picked it up tonight. Sure he can play Palmer as a False 9, but with Nkunku out injured again he needs to fast track someone from the U21s ASAP. Knowing Poch though he will be probably stick 2 goalies on the bench tonight

But if you play him behind CF it mean he is not backing Jackson, you basically give him Mudryk/Madueke minutes.

Now you are playing a very dangerous game with the board. They basically need to say bye2 to their 100m investment. I don't think this is a good idea.
