Armando Broja

Yikes if that is what you are seeing in training Hazardous can you please let Poch know he also has players like Sterling, Palmer, Madueke etc that the defenders could training against so maybe, just maybe, they might be able to you know, defend?

Cause yeah if all the 5 or 6 of them have to do is deal with the one Broja no wonder they were so bad last night...

There's a reason why the architect of the false-9 system; Guardiola, has never integrated it properly anywhere else apart from at Barcelona where he has the best player of all time in that position. If Guardiola only uses that system whenever his regular striker is unavailable that tells you that you that it's a very niche system that only works when you have the very best players at your disposal. All teams that have tried to replicate it since have failed. The fact we even try it is comical really.

Don’t understand the loan move to Fulham. For the sake of 4 million what is the point.  I know he’s been poor but we aren’t blessed with forwards, this means Jackson will play every game unless injured.

Presumably gambling on a successful loan which might allow the club to sell him for a half decent fee in the summer. The risk is that his value goes down further if the loan doesn't work out.

Good luck to him though.

Have we actually lost a game that Broja has started? He's not been banging them in but having an actual striking presence on the field does impact the game and open up channels.

So any striker will do then providing there is some presence.  If they can score now and again even better. Therefore being able to move him on, if we can, makes sense as we could fill the position with pretty much anyone that has similar physical characteristics so there is some presence.

I don't get it. He's better off staying here and being an available body than spending 6 months on loan with no option to buy.

Someone please make this make sense to me.

To make Hazardous happy.

Indeed. Plus he gets to line up with Chelseq legend Willian, that is a nice boon.

So then this season is a write off for us? Meaningless? We haven't won a game when Jackson or Broja aren't playing and we intend on going into the second half of the season with just one of them?

Awful. Just awful.

Is it not the same as last season Sconnie?

10th in the league then, 10th in the league now.

All our hopes on 1 competition to make Europe, Champions League then league cup final now.

Once the final is done, as with Real last season, season is done and we will see the same effort we saw at anfield game in and game out.

Yup. Third time I'm saying this now. Come March. We will be begging for the season to end.

Some will, some won't give a sh*t.

Let's see if attendances at away and home games suffer. Will our fans talk with their feet?

£750K loan fee agreed with Fulham rising to £4m if he doesn't play.  Big climb down from £50m

Perhaps our local friends can look forward to our Canadian friend Axeman visiting their forum to tell them how he's such a good lad and really wants to score when he's on his 10th game without a goal.

Don't know why people think this weakens us because he doesn't add anything to the squad but we could do with brining someone in.

My guess is that someone would have come in with an offer of £35m but no-one is willing to pay kind of money for someone, who has quite frankly shown very little. Poch obviously must not fancy him either so best thing is to let him out on loan in the hope that he scores a few.

Quite possible. Depends on a couple of things though -

1) If we are still in the FA Cup - Given that we have to win away at Villa to progress then that door admittedly looks half shut based on our form.

2) If Poch is still manager - If we have a bad Feb and lose in the League Cup, I could see Clearlake bringing in an interim and we know how that worked out last time.

But why on earth would we let him go without a replacement?

Is there a loan agreement with Benzema behind the scenes?

Doesn't look like it. We haven't really been linked with any incoming players today.

Not a lot of money going about this window in general. I quite like the peace and quite of it compared to the 3 previous windows under this ownership being chaos.

Yeah I am assuming things don't go in our favour at Villa Park, with our woeful away form.

I also don't believe Poch will be sacked until the summer at the earliest.

Well if the latter is the case, I think that would be better in terms of the rest of our season. If Clearlake chose to get rid of Poch before the end of the season, there is a good chance we get another interim which just leads to more chaos. Certainly wouldn't expect anything to improve on the pitch if that is how it works out.
