I hope Frank swaps Ziyech for Havertz at HT, then on 60 mins and drop Abraham for Pulisic, Put Werner up top. 

This is pissing me off every time we play anyone decent, we don’t press as well and we are way too defensive. This Spurs defence is all over the place when we attack, but it’s not happening often enough. 

I fear that Spurs will just further adapt to our tactic here just like Rennes did. I hope we don't make a mistake because that's game over...

I know Abraham is in decent form, but this is Giroud's game. Abraham isn't giving Tottenham anything to worry about, he's not one of those players that hassles a defence. Giroud would give them something to think about.

Dribbling isn't a necessary requirement to break these teams down. It's passing and movement that is the issue. Clever movement and clever passing has always been the thing that breaks these types of teams down.

I’m inclined for the same changes however I want Werner at striker now and Pulisic on at half time for Tammy. 
 

Ziyech is constantly looking up to cross and Tammy is so static on the edge of the box. The few times he did run, Ziyech has played it. Werner’s movement is perfect for Ziyech. 
 

Tammy is utterly brutal in big games.

Given how we are sending crosses into the box, I’d swap Abraham for Giroud. Not that Abraham hasn’t played well just think Giroud could be a difference in the box with his head

Just saw the replay of that Spurs counter attack... We can lose this game so easy if another one like that happens, Kane and Son dropping deep and seeking for someone else to make a run makes Kante essentially useless in defence, he had 1 good clearance and that's it.

I don’t know if it’s Frank’s tactics or the players, but every single time we have played anyone decent this season, we have sat back and been really poor on the attack. We need to shift up a few yards and have a go at this mob. This is Spurs ffs, not Bayern.

Agree on that but our passing is subpar today. Having more movement would not be dangerous without that killer final pass.

Did you not see City get torn a new one last week against Spurs? Despite having more possession and creating a lot more chances? 

You have to give Spurs more respect, they're a good side and very dangerous. If we throw all our players forward we're also giving them a big advantage. 

Spurs are well set up , we haven't utilised the ball well when they have been caught out of position. A bit over cautious at times. Giroud on at the hour and possibly Pulisic to break the deadlock.

 

I am also in favour of Giroud.

This is my biggest fear right now. They have caught us out 3 times. They won't keeping messing them up.

Werner's movement is good but today is doesn't look like Ziyech's day to me. Every pass he has played was overhit and he has a yellow now.

I am sure Lampard will be asking the players to be braver in taking there man on and move the ball a lot quicker.

We need to challenge that backline a lot more.

I assume the fact that they are deadly on the counter makes us a bit more cautious with our passing. We are worried about losing it and setting off Kane, Son and Bergwijn.

I didn’t say through all the players forward. If you read what I said, I said shift the players up. We are camped in our own half and treating spurs with far too much respect. They should be fearing us, not the other way around. 

Get giroud on for Tammy we need to make more out of the crosses

It is though it's pathetic, always have a scapegoat. There's no individual you can pick out in this game yet you manage to do it with the same players you dislike and give 0 credit towards. 

When Kovacic was on good form you went AWOL, nowhere to be seen for months. 

At the moment I wouldn't say any of our midfielders or attackers are standing out, they're all playing it very safe but did pass it a bit quicker in the last 15 minutes. But what's the root cause of this? Oh yeah it's Kovacic not dribbling enough, melt.
