Both of you have a fair point. For me it's just about principle in this situation and as I already said, I'm probably being too harsh. If you ask me, his career here should've been over after that incident with Sarri. To this day I still can't believe the disrespect he showed not only for his manager, but for the whole club...

That's the one thing I will actually defend him on, it was such an obvious misunderstanding in the heat of the moment.

Sarri wanted to take him off thinking he was injured, Kepa was trying to say he was fine.

Looks like Jorgi will get a rest at least. Hopefully he will be available for the weekend. 

really unfortunate regarding Kova. Was looking forward to having him back in the squad.

Looking at the possible teams we could draw I would say overall there is only a slight advantage to winning our group. As it stands if we win the group we could draw on these teams:

PSG, Porto, Sporting Lisbon, Inter Milan, Barcelona, Villareal, RB Salzburg

If we finish second: Ajax, Real Madrid, Bayern, or Lille.

Some of this could change with the last games but the relative strengths of the teams would probably be similar. I'd imagine that the 2 most obvious teams to avoid from that list in the round of 16 would be Bayern or PSG. But we would have to face the best teams at some point, and did so on our way to the final last year. We could get a tough or more favorable draw regardless of whether we finish 1st or 2nd in our group.

We are the champions so best to win our group.

Also if we get a bad match-up that's bad luck if we go easy against Zenit and end up second and get a bad match-up that's self inflicted.

Not heard full details from the presser however all of Kova, Kante and Jorgi are left at home.

Yeah, ever since the domestic/EL/UCL winners have had pot 1 finishing top isn't anywhere near as crucial as it use to be. Even more so now the away goal rule has been (wrongly) scrapped.

Tommy TwoChels ruled out a total of 5 during his presser: Kante, Kova, Jorgino, Trevoh, and Chilwell. Sounds like everyone else is fit
