If this thread was on BlueMoon, you´d get banned for trolling. City trying to win the Champions League for a decade, bringing in Pep, spending a billion dollars, and people here are like: I wonder whether it will ever work out for Havertz or Werner, they are underwhelming etc....

IT ALREADY WORKED OUT. THEY WON THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. They started nearly all knockout games, including the final. I mean what else is there to make these transfer work out? There is nothing bigger than the Champions League. That´s the biggest title in club football. This is a football club. You expect them to wingman you into a threesome with some supermodels?

Is that an option?

I like Havertz but I just keep thinking he should be doing more.

He's made 42 appearances in the Premier League, a lot of them starting upfront/false 9 and he's scored 6 goals.  That's 1 goal for every 7 appearances. I just expected more from a player we paid so much money for.

He's got 7 assists to his name in that period too, which is 1 assist every 6 games. Again, I just would expect more direct goal contributions from a player like him.

Werner has 44 league appearances for Chelsea having scored 1 goal more than Havertz which is 1 goal every 6 games and he has 14 assists which is 1 assist every 3 games.

Werner 1 goal contribution every 2 games in the league

Havertz 1 goal contribution every 3 games in the league.

I wonder what Kai's stats are this season since playing as a false 9.

I would think he has a couple of goals and more assists.

I think he has improved this season though of course more end product would be nice.

I prefer Kai. . . he is more versatile, he's younger (has a higher ceiling) and IMO he has better finishing.

I think Werner is a good situational starter against a high line.   His pace can take advantage there and wear out the defense.

In that case I´d go with Werner. Doesn´t put it in the hole a lot himself, but he´s pretty good settings others up. 😉

I find Werner is playing with more front this Season we just need the end product which will come I’m sure it will. can’t argue with his Contribution. With Kai  I find myself cursing at him most games could be due to the high hopes I had when he arrived my opinion he doesn’t contribute as much .

based on this you could conclude that Werner creates more chances and is less involved on the ball than Havertz. Havertz however doesn't do as well in making the final decision/pass, but he carries the ball well and is involved in the attacking play a bit more than Werner.

Stats can be very2 dangerous if you don't use it without context.

Player role and how the team play can affect your stats big time.

I've said it before, there's so many variables involved its almost impossible to just look at individual stats and extrapolate anything from it.

Who was in the team, when did we play the last few games, who were we playing, who were we playing next, who did we play last, did the player play in any of the previous games, was he injured, had he played international games....and the list goes on.

........which player has @Valerie cursed with her predictions....
This is a pivotal stat for all Chelsea players, the players bombard the forum on Saturday mornings to see if they are burdened with her expectation :laugh2:

For the club's prediction game I picked Havertz as our first scorer. Now even Tuchel is against me and starts him on the bench. I am NOT switching to Werner, the number of times he let me down

Go Mason, my boy!
