Chelsea in America (US Preseason Tour) 2022

Featured Replies

First game of preseason is one week away. Not expecting much other than a run out for many players.  Most interested in what TT does with the backline - whether he plays 4 given CB shortage.

More importantly - is anyone going to the game?  I'll be there and Allegiant stadium looks great for a pre game beer! KTBFFH

This is a repeat fixture of the 2007 Pre Season USA tour, we played them at Stanford Stadium near San Francisco, I was there after conceding we went on to win 2-1. Im going to the game in Vegas next Saturday. Can take the piss out of the opposition but over here in CA and especially south of the border they are a big club with a decent following, should be a lot of them at the Allegiant all Corona'd up.

p.s. its a fantastic stadium was there last year to see The Stones.

Actually bummed that for the first time in a long time I'll not be seeing Chelsea on a US Tour.  Will be interesting to see what young lads get a run out. usually it's a chance for them to showcase.  I remember oe of the Seattle games, and Kakuta and Stoch looked very good, but then didn't materialize.

Wouldn't read too much into the games either, but I expect the usual meltdowns if we don't win 9-0

I'm at a party on Saturday night. Do I remain relatively sober so I can stay awake to watch the game or do I get steaming drunk and struggle to stay awake. Decisions, decisions.

Where is it going to be shown, do you know?

Given the heat the lads will be playing in I say you should get drunk, should make the game more interesting.

The big question is am I willing to wake up at 3am to watch the match? Probably.

No wife/gf or kids to annoy by being up at such a time?

Going to be shown on the website and the 5th Stand App but it looks like it won't be shown in your neck of the woods. Hopefully you can find a stream from somewhere. I guess it's not being shown in some parts of the world due to broadcasting rights.

Ah, thanks @Boyne, hadn't seen that announcement yet. The kick-off time might scare me off anyway :blush2:

You won’t be getting a big pay out on that bet.

If anything like our cat going from being these affectionate suck up for pettings,  to aloof to physcho yelling for treats or she needs a poo...
