For the talk of us getting top 4 under tuchel.. Lamps did it by playing academy kids .. and in a more entertaining fashion while getting into a cup final.. so spare me the players are  crazy and not good enough..  not a single player has improved under TT .. for him.being proper coach he needs to earn his stripes..

Pulisic doesn't want to leave. He has stated many times exactly the opposite, that he is happy at Chelsea. Now, I don't know if that is something he would state publicly but not really mean it, but that is not really his style.

He has 2 years left on his contract though, this is the usual sweet spot a player considers his options if he can get a better deal elsewhere.

I agree, at least on the attacking front. Who has progressed? Mount, maybe? Pulisic, Werner, Ziyech, CHO, Havertz have all regressed.

I thought Ziyech was keen to move to Italy. Alonso and Dave were certainly looking for moves to Spain too. There have been rumours Werner wants out, and I thought I read that Pulisic was not happy too. Although based on the post from USATim that may not be the case. Emerson seems like one of those perennial loanees so wouldn't be surprised if he already has a foot out the door.

Perhaps not but we don't know who may have an interest in him.

I have to believe these players who want to leave must have clubs who want to sign them otherwise how stupid would this attitude be?

You create an unhappy camp by keeping players who don't want to be here and I tell you what, we will be like united at their worst over these past 6 years.

@USATim am sure you heard the rumours Klopp wanted CP as his main alternative to Salah and Diaz, knowing Mane was off. 

5 year contract on good money under Klopp. If true I could see why he would be unhappy.

Our full backs have probably progressed as attacking options the most under Tuchel. He rightly took credit for tightening up our defense, but he hasn't found the key to unlock our attacking play.

Sounds like we tried to offload him as part of a deal for De Ligt. Perhaps we could try to offer him to Newcastle for Saint-Maxim who we had some interest in.

Werner will need to take a wage cut, no one in their right minds will go near his 270k a week deal.

Good point - wingbacks  in James and Chilwell have. I just think the offense Tuchel wants to implement relies on a big hold up striker, dominant in the box and in the air with the wingbacks crossing. Tonight, Arsenal fullbacks did a hell of a job not allowing the wingbacks to beat them outside to cross. Havertz is not the solution at striker, we get no inside penetration from our wingers so everything is constantly played back out. The second the ball slows down and the defense gets back and congested we are done.

Agreed - but I don't think it ever came to fruition. As Axe said, I heard that initially too - and we know Klopp's relationship to CP. Whether it was all bs, or it just cooled down, it seems to have fizzled out.

I was surprised that Chilwell didn't feature at all tonight. Emerson and Alonso both got minutes ahead of him. I know he tried 4 at the back 1st half but I think Tuchel will revert to his familiar system for the start of the season, and most likely the players he trusts the most. So that means Kai at number 9 even though he is not the solution. Maybe Broja will get some chances to prove himself though.

Mendy, James, Thiago, Koulibaly, Chalobah, Alonso, Jorginho, Kova, Kante, Mount, Havertz, Sterling.

Agreed. He will return Mount to the right up front, play Sterling on the left. I also wonder why we haven't seen both Pulisic and Sterling on the field at the same time - two players that have the potential to run at their defenders. Think this pretty much signals that Pulisic is going to be used as a sub again. Think Werner really dropped down the pecking order based on his performance tonight and already being in Tuchel's doghouse.

He's literally played two half's of football 'this pre-season', give the guy a chance. He looked decent in the Charlotte game, today not so much but more due to the fact we didn't have much control of the game and the whole team was awful. He's the only one of all our attacking players who has any history of being decent in the Premier league, the rest are all duds including Havertz.

Not disputing how great he was playing for another team. My contention is that, under Tuchel, this is where attackers come to die. The system in place stifles the things that Sterling is good at. You will see.

Have the fullbacks improved though? Output wise you will say yes but that is a flaw of the 3-4-3. Let’s remember Alonso & Moses also looked pretty good going forward under Conte. Defensively I would argue James was a shambles middle of the season. Teams even started targeting the right side of our defence because he was often caught upfield, neglecting his defensive duties. I can also remember Azpi having a shouting match mid game with Tuchel because he was left exposed by James on the right.
