July 22, 20223 yr Who ya got? I say Sterling, Havertz, Mount. If Mount plays in more of a midfield role, I say Sterling, Havertz, Pulisic. Thoughts on what Tommy will go with?
July 24, 20223 yr Makes sense. Right behind those 3 there should be Gallagher, he had 8 PL goals last season, the same as Havertz and Lukaku. I don't agree with the 3-4-2-1 system where Gallagher would be so deep in the midfield, he needs to be further up the pitch.
July 24, 20223 yr Who TT will start vs Everton? Imo Sterling, Havertz and Mount. Who he should start based on who we currently have? Imo Sterling, Broja and Mount. Either way it won't make a difference of we do not adjust our passing game, bring in a proper creative midfielder, and oh yeah sign James Ward-Prowse!
July 25, 20223 yr In a front 3/current system, I would agree Sterling, Havertz, Mount. We need to find a way to get another attacker into the mix though, and could easily add Werner, Broja or Gallagher to a front 4.

I agree we will definitely start with Sterling, Havertz, and Mount. Even though Broja is an exciting talent, the central forward role will be Havertz's to lose. I am hoping Broja gets some decent minutes from the bench at least. Unless Havertz can become a 20 goal a season player, I still think we will need another option longer term.
July 26, 20223 yr I think as we currently stand we will have two flavours: 1- Sterling Havertz Mount - Broja the sub for these. 2 -Sterling and Havertz - Broja the sub. Just a front two where Mount sits on the bench and probably Gallager is the third m/f, a closing down and attacking m/f.
July 26, 20223 yr Havertz just doesn't produce as a striker, but I can't see us signing another striker. Ideally, if we had a better defence and midfield we'd play a system to try and get the best out of our attack. E.g. something like a 4-2-3-1 Mendy James Silva Koulibaly Chilwell Kovacic Kante Mount Havertz Sterling Decent striker
July 26, 20223 yr If Broja is fit im starting him infront of the German chuckle brothers. Alongside Sterling and Mount.
July 26, 20223 yr I want to see us weaned off Jorginho, cos he really is a boring player, who always initiates 'Just one more sideways pass, Up front, if he's here .....Werner Broja Sterling, play 433, ......................................Mendy James.................Silva.....................KK.............Chilwell ...............................Kante........................ .........Gallagher..........................................Mount Sterling.........................Broja/?....................Werner

July 26, 20223 yr There should be a new chant next season, to the tune of Champions of Europe blah blah blah "We pass to left, we pass to the riiiiiiiiiight, yes we're Chelsea our football is sh*te"
July 26, 20223 yr I'm starting to think we are way too attacking, and should play a couple of defenders on the wing, with Havertz thru the middle. Yes, 10 defensive players and 1 attacker.

All of that happen in the first season, Lampard played mostly 4-2-3-1 with Jorginho and Kovacic and it worked. It was in the second season when he tried the 4-3-3 with Kante at the base of the midfield and it was terrible. Tuchel took over, brought back Jorginho, Alonso, Rudiger... Top 4, CL title.
