    If he is that good why didn't Man Utd go after him? after all they were after FDJ.  Ten Hag must know something we don't...Is he even an international player?

    Edson Omar Álvarez Velázquez is a Mexican professional footballer who plays for Eredivisie club Ajax and the Mexico national team. Mainly a defensive midfielder, he is also capable of playing as a centre-back.

    Someone mentioned Florian Grillitsch recently. I raised this guy ages ago but don't know how to find my old posts but apparently this guy is still a free agent.

    Am I being obtuse but is this guy now one day from being unemployed.  Surely we can take him on at a decent wage to at least give us cover. He looks mobile and able, so what's to lose.
