I was listening to a podcast and someone who knew the agent said he was “poison”. The whole drama makes sense in that context and it’s meant that the agent and Brighton have gained an extra £15m out of us.

Yeah. Normally I'd be worried (If Barca or Real turn his head) but both those clubs already have midfield projects, and if Caicedo does kick up a fuss we have Santos, Ugochukwu, and Casadei waiting in the wings.

Apparently, Liverpool added it to their bid. Which is why Brighton are adamant that we match that. Especially as they also have a sell-on clause to remit to Caicedo's old club themselves. I would try to put a time limit on that sell-on if I were Boehly and co. After 5 years, it should expire.

Sell on clause added I’d imagine to replace the remaining 11m that was part of Liverpools outright bid.
