I suspect the payment structure is playing a big part in negotiations because of FFP. 110m+ is a massive fee but it also depends on how much is up front. As others have suggested we will may well have to sell some players to raise some capital.  Chalobah or Gallagher would be prime candidates I suspect.

I reckon if we get Lavia too they have to leave. Need to recoup as much profit as possible now.

Yes. I have to wonder if the rapid departure of Kepa is related too? Getting his wages off the books, plus a loan fee, would free up some funds on the balance sheet.

This could drag on for some time as there are still a few weeks before window closes. That being said Liverpool still have the agreed offer on the table, and will no doubt be spending every minute trying to convince Caicedo to join them after all. So the longer this drags on the more chance he will go there I think.

Hopefully they can get the Caicedo saga sorted out by tomorrow. Would be a great boost to have him signed going into the first game.

SecretScout (Tier 1) stating Caicedo will sign an 8 year contract.

Chelsea pushing tonight to complete Moises Caicedo deal for a British record fee of around £115m. Not quite done but close.

#LFC have done their best to change Caicedo's mind but #CFC his preference, and he's been texting several Chelsea players telling them he's joining.🇪🇨
