Joao Felix

He did better than the extremely low bar I had already set, actually set up a few chances too, but overall simply not good enough. I don't think this should be a surprise to anyone.

I think people are being harsh on Felix. He’s had a few chances, what about Nkunku???

Nkunku? sh*te as well.

sh*te squared.

At least Nkunku has the excuse that he's being played out of position.

I felt he was our best performer last night. I rated him 6.5/10

But that’s just because he hasn’t got curly long hair, otherwise you’d give him a 5.8/10 😉

One game. An overall poor team performance so hard to single anybody out. Felix was muscled off the ball way to easily earlier on. He was looking like a player who hadn’t played in months. I think he needs more playing time – even if it is only 10 or 15 from the bench. He needs to be sharper. I mean there is genuine ability there, you can see it. Maybe folks opinions on here would have been different if his offside goal had stood? I am still a Felix fan, we know he has great football skills and ability, which is more than you can say for. . .Mudryck.

I'd much rather Mudders in the team to be honest, at least he can cross a ball in and have some sense of urgency going forward!

Really?  Mudryck has great pace, but that is it. Mudryck is pace without any real footballing ability*. Felix is an actual skillful footballer.

*and we now know how and why Mudryck is so athletic and fast. It's a bit moot as we won't be seeing the junkie play for a while now.

He's hardly a junkie buddy! I fully believe he was naive with what the docs gave him! Taking Mudryk's form (albeit the conference) from the last games he played, there really isn't much in it between him and Felix! Joao has been all fur coat and no knickers! He reminds me of what Joe Cole would've played like before a professional career!

Fair enough, At the moment Mudryck is an accidental illegal drug user.  Well, we shall see how long he is banned for and take it from there.

That is a good comparison to Joe Cole.  Felix certainly has footballing ability and if he can show more strength on the ball i think he would be a good option for us. He could be a great asset imho. Lets see how he does if he gets some more minutes and games.

Felix has a lot of skill and plays some nice touches. He also tends to get into decent scoring positions. My main issue with him is how easily he gets pushed off the ball. This has been evident not just last night, but in most Premier league games that he has played in. For the same reasons he is also a liability when needed defensively. By comparison Pedro Neto is much more of a battler. Yes he was at fault with his embarassing attempt to stop Iwobi against Fulham but in general he offers more than Felilx on both ends of the pitch.

Yep. He needs more strength on the ball, which i think he could achieve through playing more. Pedro Neto has played a lot more games in England and he has that understanding of the English game. But yep, Felix need to be stronger in possession, and i feel you can only get that awareness through playing. Felix has the footballing skills.

His biggest let down at Benfica, Atletico, Chelsea the first time, Barcelona, and now this season is that his execution is very bad.

Gallagher was horrific under Potter/Lampard and still created more chances per 90 than Felix.

He has not really played enough for one to say his execution is bad. He scored yesterday against Ipswich - it was offside. His execution was pretty good, as opposed to some others last night who had poor execution [not naming names, but we all know who they are].

He's played 6 years at the top level where I can say his execution is bad.

Seems like I have just become the spokesperson for the Mr.Felix Fan Club.  In my new role of Felix advocacy I would just like to say that he has long been considered one of the greatest prospects in world football.

One good thing about him - it seems he loves it here and wants to succed, unlike Nkunku who's a total passenger every time he is on the pitch.

I'd still rather Felix play LW over Sancho. Id suggest he get on the weights though.

I can't believe we have to give money to Man U for Sancho. They should be paying us.
