Perhaps he promised to get Felix off our books quickly as part of that first deal. The SD’s must really be kicking themselves that they somehow allowed themselves to get Samu and end up with Felix.

January 31, 20251 yr Gutted to see how we are treating Felix. It is really a travesty when a genuinely talented player and potential game changer like Felix, is given so little game time - when players like Sanchez and Jackson continue to be selected game in, game out. Felix has many flaws, and sure, there is an argument that he is a luxury show pony - but to not even be given a chance (3 EPL starts) when other inferior and lower ceiling players get a free pass to be sh*t game in game out is disgusting.

January 31, 20251 yr Yep, have to agree with dkw. I do like Felix as a player - got some great touches and is good to watch when he's on song. But he is no game changer. Tends to look at his best when game is already won (like when we put 6 past Wolves). You want to bring a game changer on in a tight game when you need a winning goal but no coach trusts Felix in that situation as he is prone to give the ball away and is more likely to cost you a goal than get you one. He's another classic example of a player who promised a lot but is unlikely to fulfil their potential.

January 31, 20251 yr There is no other player in the world I would prefer to see come off the bench for us... ...when we are 4-0 up in the 75th minute against a team who are far worse than we are. Edited January 31, 20251 yr by PloKoon13
January 31, 20251 yr Villa director Monchi has described this deal as "very hard". In other words Villa want a loan, or a discounted price, and we don't.

However Mendes is pushing for him to move, he does not want Felix’s value to lower due to little gametime. He wants Felix to leave in Jan” Why the f**k is a football agent allowed to manipulate transfers for his own financial benefit? We weren't even interested in getting Felix when Conor was being transferred but somehow we ended up with him, with Enzo showing no interest in playing him
February 2, 20251 yr The same person from Italy that said Casadei would sign with Torino, rather than Lazio as Romano had said, is saying Milan would like to loan Felix but only a loan, no buy option, we only want either a sale or a loan with buy obligation. Would not be surprised if it is the same with Nkunku. Maybe we cave and let them go on loans, maybe we don't. If they stay we will have two unhappy players that will offer even less than we have already seen from them.
February 2, 20251 yr This club is a joke. We started the season with strong depth to our squad, now we are trying to get rid of them all. What is Maresca going to do all season, play the same 11? I suppose he is happy about that seeing as that is all he has been doing for the most part since December. What are we going to do if we pick up injuries? We are just throwing this season away for no reason. No wonder why we are struggling to sign players and so many are suddenly looking to get out. They are seeing through the bullsh*t. To those that are holding out hope for this club becoming serious again, I would love to know what makes you think that, because from what I can see, every player we sign is just being set up to be sold for pure profit later. Doesn’t surprise me .. PE firms are meant to break things, strip of value and sell to the highest bidder for profit .. they don’t build .. we are in serious trouble..
February 3, 20251 yr This signing above all others goes to show what a f**king joke our recruitment policy is. Signed 6 months ago, when no-one really wanted him, now looking to get rid. Amazing squad planning. Truely world class. Glad these guys took over with their data-driven approach to show us how a sports team should really be run.

You signed a player for £42m in the summer, played 364mins in the league, and somehow 6mths later the ask is £60m.

February 3, 20251 yr AC Milan are leading the way to take Joao Felix on loan, but the Blues have received offers from three #UCL clubs. [via @Matt_Law_DT] A loan?! What is the point!
