April 4Apr 4 So we’ve suspended our vice-captain for implying the club doesn’t know what it’s doing and he’d rather quit and move to Madrid than waste his career at a club that’s going nowhere fast. All going well at BlueCo FC then.

But has he spoken out against the ownership. I haven't seen that. I think he's agents comments are correct. Yes I think there is goading from the Spanish press. In footballing terms it's a corruption riddled country, why wouldn't the press be any different. They have also tried it on wit Caicedo yesterday. I thought he said he'd like to live there at some point.I'm now waiting for the waters to be tested with Palmer and the release of a bombshell that he'd like to move back to Manchester at some point in his career, just to see what the club do.Another consistently poor, naive, level of management from BlueCo and transparent PR sh*te, in my opinion.

I suspect that they probably want the same contract length just more money.

April 4Apr 4 and there we have it. Fat boy wants a pay rise. We already pay him more than he’s worth, let Madrid pick up his dinner cheque, however large it may be. Spineless weasel with his fake bravado about how he loves the club and starts on players like Mount for leaving when he’s worse.

All of this is normal stuffBingo, look a his agent's tweets in https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/enzo-fernandez-banned-two-games-124640049.htmlIt looks well-orchestrated as it normally is. Even I who think he's not as bad as folk make him out to be, or rather that the roster has much more glaring issues than him, I find it hard to justify a new contract.☝beat me to it. April 4Apr 4 Supposedly we have already agreed a deal to bring Barco over from Strasbourg in the summer. No doubt the SD's see him as the low cost Enzo replacement ;)

April 4Apr 4 Not sure why he was at the bridge and at the end walking on the pitch, surely you just keep him away for the two fixtures.

April 7Apr 7 “Enzo Fernandez is preparing to submit a transfer request to pave the way for a blockbuster move to Real Madrid this summer.”He is going to be a distraction till the end of the season, and this situation won’t go away. The daft suspension just puts the spotlight firmly on him. Personally would just have dropped him to the bench till the end of the season, and call it a tactical decision. That is the right thing to do, without actually stripping away the captaincy. Now everything he does will be under the microscope. A Madrid move doesn’t exist, this is just him & and his agent blackmailing the club.

April 7Apr 7 Author It’s because he knows his wages are going to go back to pre Champions League wages. Said it ages ago he’d be the first to jump ship. Such an unlikable bloke on and off the pitch.

Such an unlikable bloke on and off the pitch. “Despite the suspension, Enzo Fernández is still focused on his future at Chelsea. Despite statements about Real Madrid, its representatives favour a contract extension, with an upgrading that fully reflects its key role in the team.”Biggest worry is if they allow him to have his way, he will try it again in 2yrs time and others will follow. I don’t even think his contract can be extended as things stand, as it breaks their wage structure.

He said it would take a special player for him to sign a player from there. Signed Franco Mastantuono last summer who was meant to be the next big thing from there last summer for €49m, there are already plans to loan him out next summer. Our fans keep missing a little detail with Enzo; there is the Brazilian dynamic in the Madrid dressing room who don’t get on with Argies, and he also has problems with the French players who are a key part of the team. Perez knows better than to spend big money and wages on Enzo,it’s a non starter. This whole situation was created by his agent Javier Pastore to get a fat contract out of the club.Enzo's agent Javier Pastore: 🗣️" "This two-match ban, which makes no sense from my perspective, suggests that the club is trying to make a point or send a message; I suppose we’ll understand the reasons better in time. But to do this to the vice-captain – or captain when James isn’t there – to sanction him for two matches for something I see no reason or explanation for, is undoubtedly a sign of certain moves the club will surely let us know about as soon as possible."Enzo's agent Javier Pastore: 🗣️" "Our plan after the World Cup is to meet with Chelsea again and, if there is no agreement, to explore other options."This was always about a new contract; you can’t make a player the face of your team, and a captain to boot and not pay him like one. He has seen Conor Gallagher pick up £200k/w at Spurs, Saka on £300k/w at Arsenal, & James improved his £250k/w contract. The suspension was the wrong move IMO, should have stripped him off the captaincy and told him to focus on his game. This will keep on running till he gets what he wants or he is sold.I'm sure Vinicius and Mbappe (whom the song also mocks specifically for dating a transsexual), both of whom are famously quiet and tolerant of racism, will be ready to welcome Enzo Fernandez with open arms. He surely will fit in the dressing-room next to Angolan-French Eduardo Camavinga and Cameroonian-French Tchouameni. Interesting point about the Argies in general. Mastantouono is the first Argie they've signed in 11 years. The last was Di Maria, and that ended in acrimony as he Madrid pushed him out post-WC.Di Maria was different because he came into a 2010s team with a bunch of promising Argentines in Higuiain, Fernando Gago, Ezequiel Garay. After 2010, and the rise of Messi's Barcelona and Simeone's Atletico, Real Madrid just isn't the place for Argentines.
April 9Apr 9 He's likely to leave in the summer if a transfer request materialises. His choice not Blue Co.s.No matter what the details are this is not a good look for Blue co, their key players wanting out.

April 9Apr 9 Enzo’s agent Javier Pastore: "He'll play in the World Cup this summer and finish the season with Chelsea. Now, we're waiting for Chelsea to qualify for the Champions League because he wants to play in the best competitions and he's a winner, and then we'll see.""He's very happy at Chelsea. He's captain and is already in his third year here. Honestly, these are the best years of his career and he feels good there. I live in Madrid, so everyone says he's going to Madrid... but it's more press hype than anything else."Hype he and his client created. Just say he wants more money.
April 9Apr 9 The amount of agent-led press makes it pretty clear to me there's little actual interest and he's angling for improved contract.
