Hate to point out the obvious, but we aren't football managers and our sacking wouldn't cost the company £50m. There's also plenty of people that can replace us in our line of work.

This doesn't fit the "I wouldn't last 2 months in my job" narrative. Get with the programme!

How many of 'us lot' would still be employed if we performed well at our job one week out of every twelve...?!?

Any Prime Minister in office?

Don't like the words "back him" so had to go for the other option.

At this point I think he should have until the end of the season. He needs to do really well in the quarterfinals/semifinals of the Champions League and against the other Top 5/6 teams in the run in to convince me he's the right man for next season. Still haven't beat a single team ahead of us in the table so that obviously needs to change.

Also needs to get better use out of some of our signings. Fofana's in the development squad, Madueke got no place in the current system and neither does Mudryk so that needs to change as well.

Have to back him for now, who else is out there?  Pochettino?  A serial loser.  Allegri?  May look good in a second rate Serie A, but the PL is superior and I'm not at all convinced by him.  Tuchel?  Won't come back and Boehley would only end up looking stupid if he tried to entice him back.  Conte?   Never come back to a club you have left, things are never the same second time around.  Mourhinho?  A dinosaur, well past his peak and ever since he left has done nothing but belittle our club.  What we need to do is get rid of dead wood like Pulisic, Ziyech and a few others, and sign a top striker.

Could see Ancelotti being available this summer if Real get knocked out of the Champions League

Hactually, I pointed to the obvious. Sarri has shown many of our lot can manage a football club, contractual obligations are just a sunk cost, and mebbe you are easily replaced at whatever keeps you employed... but that's your thing.

Undecided. I was 100% team sack before Dortmund. Two good games isn't enough to earn my full faith, it should be the bare minimum, but it has proved my absolute certainty that we'd fail wrong. With us starting to briefly look like an actual functioning team I don't think it would be good for these players to make the change right now anymore. For the players sake it's probably best to let them gel and build chemistry until May now.

We're going to have a failure of a league season. That's inescapable. If come May I can think "it was a terrible season because of everything that happened before March", then I could leave it all behind. If we spend the next few months progressing and I can confidently say we're not going to struggle to get back in the CL next year, then I'll happily give Potter my backing.

This is all provided we don't win the CL of course. Then I'm good with a 17th placed finish and will help build his statue!

Even if Potter gets sacked, I can't see him taking the job. Ancelotti won't be interested in a project at his age, he would only come back here to win and have his own demands. He doesn't come across as the type to be interested in being part of building a culture at a football club. Like the best coaches in football, his focus is winning.

Com'on Scott. Nail your colours to the mast mate. You still haven't voted yet? I'd have thought you were firmly on the "sack him" bus.

Maybe you should make a poll to decide if we need a new poll next week?

We could run it alongside the repeal Brexit poll and the next Scottish independence vote.

I swear, when RLC came on I knew we were fukked

Bit harsh on RLC. He has been good of late, but I get why you would disappointed Kante did not come on.

Not the least being the massive roar from the crowd from Kante coming on ... that might have lifted the whole team to go at it in the last half an hour at the same intensity Everton did ...

After the Everton game substitutions, which were just plain stupid, yes - anytime - now or the summer not going to make a big difference.

Four things stand out for me: 1) Inability to handle a dressing room full of star players; 2) Inability to make smart tactical substitutions when required; 3) Inability to get the team to work hard for 90 minutes; 4) Lastly his inability to take risk - He who dares wins...

I'd like to say I'm looking forward to the International break but sadly Southgate and Potr are like two peas in a pod.

Basically another manager who is never going to win anything even though he's got the strongest bunch of English players the country has had for years - he's good at coming second, facing the media and gets on well with the board though.
