Face it, Pochettino uses Lukaku because of the money problem ffp. Like it or not he will be your new number 9. I dont see any decent striker coming in. So here is his stat after injury (score another goal today).

I would take Lukaku back if we have no money or get osimhen. Kane is a 2 year fix at best but will 100% get results as hes worked with Pochettino before

He is a snake … he has been extremely disrespectful towards us . We should actually sue him for how he engineered this.

Inter management said we don’t want to buy lukaku and lukaku saying he wants to stay at inter just 2 weeks back.

this is a scam and we have been mugged by inter and lukaku.

We mugged ourselves , it was a ridiculous signing and a ridiculous amount we paid for him.  We paid a fortune for him but he's still in Italy playing for the club we bought him from.

At the same time I don’t think it is wrong to expect loyalty from an employee till one is paying their wages and you are on contract.. almost seemed like a breach of trust the way he has conducted himself.

Not happening.

Agreed. Unless his resurgances continues and he fires Inter to the CL, and they therefore change their minds and make us a deal, Lukaku will be our main striker next season imo.

For me I don't care if we get Lukaku back or sign a new st but I cannot watch another season with Kai up top.

As a fan of false 9 system, It is fun watching false 9 play when you have goal getter everywhere or from somewhere, it is not fun watching false 9 system where nobody can score and your 9 also can't score.

Issue is that almost all of the strikers we are linked with, bar Toney, are pretty average to mediocre in holding onto the ball. Which is something you need in a striker in the Premier League. Muani, Osimhen, Højlund, etc.

You couldn't make it up. The one striker that looks to be an ideal fit for us is facing a ban. There is also Gonçalo Ramos but lord knows what Benfica will charge for him.

Worth the gamble (no pun) for £40m, if he gets a six month ban in the coming weeks he will be available by the end of the year, plus he would have spent six months with the squad at Cobham, so it's not like he will be a new player by the time he plays his first game.

Do you know if they are announcing his ban length at the end of May?

No but i think it makes sense for the FA to announce his punishment as soon as the season is over and doesn't drop Brentford in the sh*te.

I dont understand this, why are they waiting to punish him in case it causes Brentford a problem, its never stopped them punishing us or our players/manager in the past for stuff.

Yup if he gets a six month ban he will be able to play cards with all of our injured players who will be part of the Cobham glee club. Fit right in.

Were Chelsea, they are dear little Brentford,

Lukaku might do well under Pochettino. Lukaku wants to be loved and needed so Pochettino might appeal to his ego. Even if we get one decent season out of him, it could work.

Though if there’s a chance that we can flog him to Atheltico Madrid who are apparently interested then we should do it.

Ian Wright on Romelu Lukaku: “The word on the street is that Mauricio Pochettino wants him back. He’s got massive unfinished business here. If I was him, I would love to know I’m going back there and I can shut a few people up. He owes it to himself."

Yup. He wants to stay in Italy. He has said so. He didn't want to leave Inter for Chelsea in the first place. Inter needed the money. He's 30 in a couple of days, injury prone, not surprising for such a big man at his age, and Inter (a) can't afford him: and (b) have found more reliable alternatives. No one else in Italy can afford him even if they wanted him so, regardless of his personal preferences, Italy is a no-go.

If we're stuck with him, Pochettino is perfectly capable of getting inside his head, as Conte did so successfully at Inter. Fit, one half-decent season would be better than what we've suffered this season.

The Atletico rumours continue to swirl. Italian gossip - for what it's worth  - has Inter looking at Morata for about €15m which could open the door for Lukaku.
