Any striker who wants to play European football would stay well clear from us unless we double whatever  they are getting offered by rivals. The absolute sh*te show would put any one off. In the past we would still attract top quality because agents knew the club with Marina/Buck etc now it’s pure comedy and arrogance.

As we’ve seen with the rise of Ollie Watkins, systems and top coaches are the difference makers for the most part, if (let’s say Enrique) addresses the squad and wants a particular profile of player then fine but I think we’re all exhausted with the striker topic.

Osimhen under Spalletti and the players/system/environment around him are optimal, the only big name who’d be a success no matter what the environment is Kane (if we ignore how impossible that would be) but then you have to take into account his mental fragility. Biggest concern for me are the sleezy agents like Mendes pawning off pretenders like Felix for £80m and stupid wages, Boehly seems naive enough to enable these types as he continues his baseball to football transition. Can only hope Stewart & Winstanley really do have genuine sporting control to push back the agent politicking.

There will always be internal issues with Lukaku, which will undoubtedly affect our very young squad.

So you dont think we have any issue now? Lol… we are playing like a dreamteam and everyone is happy? Lukaku is free and Felix with cost us 80 mil with no end product.  Lukaku is liked by many of his ex teammates at man u, Inter and leader Belgium new team.(maybe)he is the leader of the young squad.to be sure Frank needs to test a setup using a real 9 as Aubameyung , we have nothing to lose in the last few games. New coach  will be new starts for most of the player.

He got more goals in 12 minutes today than we've managed as a team in 450+ minutes 🙂

You can only laugh at this stage.

If Haaland has played for us from the beginning of this season we would have been a bit better but still bad. Our team don’t have KDB or Grealis for assists. Ever wondering why he didn’t signed for us while we were europ champ? He told that he and his dad beside from the money look at teams(coach) that is using a real striker and have someone who can find him on the field.

I think Nkunku gets strikers role, as Mudryk will be wide left, or Nkunku as a 10, and a proper striker signed

He is good but too small to fight with a real central defender. And we are going back in the same direction like we did we Kai. Defenders here are stronger then in germany.

better to put in a bit lower from the midfield. 4 -3 -3

Mudryk -(real 9)- Nkunku( someone else)

Enzo-Kante-Nkunku( real DM in big match)

Surprised his name hasn't been mentioned in this thread. He is on a fantastic run at present and at 27 is a good age for a striker. As Toney is likely to be suspended, Watkins would be top of my shopping list for a proven PL striker.

It is always the case with any player.

A very good example is Kai. False 9 = very good, true 9 worse than Fofana.

Now is the time I would probably go all in for Kane. But for any chance, especially with Levy we would have to really try to sweeten the pot.

Possibly players plus money. Maybe pulisic, Gallagher, Sterling plus cash, like 60m. I don't know but something serious. Not sure that would even work with Levy but I do genuinely think that with our set up Kane would probably be a better fit for us than anywhere else in the PL

Would love to have Kane. The complete striker IMO.

But at some point the reality of FFP will probably boot us in the balls so I think the most likely outcome is The Lump returning from Serie A.

Who knows, he might come back a new person and be prepared to take onboard all the experience and advice young Nagelsonny has to offer him.

Hard to see what could possibly go wrong in that scenario.

I would rather we work with Broja and Fofana, we only have 40 odd games to play next season, Broja and Fofana will score goals if we create them, if the new gaffer starts playing Lukaku it will hinder their progress imo.

Inclined to agree. Market isn’t spoilt for choice for decent priced strikers. Need to also create an environment for the next striker to come and thrive. There isn’t anything right now.

I hope you're right. Broja I think may have potential.  Fofana, I haven't seen anything from him yet to rate him above league 1 standard. Very raw atm.

Nice thought and I for one would fully support that coco but I really don't think it will happen. Broja has had a horror injury. Not too many years ago a ruptured cruciate ligament was a career ending injury. Will he be the same player when he comes back? Not just physically but mentally?

As for Fofana I like what little we have seen of him to date, but I can't see the new manager, whoever that maybe, having the gonads to start with either him or Broja leading the line regularly.

Yes i agree Fofana not proven at tier one, but if you watch his videos and judge him only on the goals when he's being tightly marked and not just free as a bird, you'll be impressed, he gets out of some tight situations, very explosive, and a great finisher.

Anyone who thinks lukaku is going to sort out our goal scoring problem really needs to keep away from Chelsea, like the useless piece of sh*t lukaku is. The most obnoxious anti Chelsea arsehole ever.

The sort of bloke who, if he was on fire, you'd piss on the ground next to him, just to show him that you could have doused the flames, but chose not to 🙂

Erling Halaand. If he played in Serie A he would have probably scored at least 125 goals by now.

Monster.

If he play for us he probably will be asked to make overlapping run for winger though.

Fofana is not even close to be ready, it is much better for him to go on loan first. Borja has been out for a long  time for acl, you need to be careful with him.

Broja wasn't anywhere near the finished article either and was learning the trade until the injury. We have no idea what Broja we'll be getting back. He may never fully recover.
