Crazy time to release a new shirt! I remember sometimes prior we’d wear the new one for the last game/FA Cup! So if you are ‘only wear this seasons shirt’ snob, that’s at least 2 or 3 months you’ve lost out on for a years shirt if releasing on this date! And, still going to be charged a minimum of £90 for the pleasure! Good job Todd!

I remember a few seasons back West Brom brought out a new shirt without having a shirt sponsor. The club put out an an announcement that once a shirt sponsor was appointed fans could bring in shirts to the club shop and have the sponsors logo put on them. Can't imagine too many Baggies fans taking up that offer.

As for the shirt itself I quite link it and the colour is good. Not sure about the badge though. Doubt if I'll buy it though. Not because I don't like it but it's years since I bought a shirt and if I rarely wear club colours. If I do it's an old shirt and at big games.

Guess that the photos were taken a while ago as a number of the women are away at the World Cup.

i never buy kits anymore.  the player on every kit i bought had a terrible season as soon as i got the kit.

Still unclear as to when/how you can get a kit without a sponsor, as by the time they are released to the public we will have surely found a sponsor by then (August 12th).

I've never used this site before and so can't say if they are any good. The one I have used before and trust, hasn't got it up yet. 

Typically if you're only ever going to wear the shirt for about 8-10 wears you can't go wrong with the knock offs. They look and feel exactly the same but after a few washes some of the stitching / logos / player names peel off. 

I'm definitely going to buy one of the knock offs though because I fully expect we are never going to officially sell a sponsorless kit.

Despite the August release date, due to Nike manufacturing the shirt WAY in advance, they will have thousands of these things without sponsors on. So either they are going to sell it sponsor-less or they iron them on in post-production (most likely gonna be coming off in the wash 😅)

I get the feeling these are released on purpose because there is no way this got through a whole marketing team without being spotted.

It’s very similar to a ‘Training T Shirt’ my son got me two years ago.

If I want to buy a top ‘in honour of the 1997-1998 seasons’ then I’ll buy the retro one and save about £40.

Might as well sell it as a pot of paint next year and just brush it on.

It is definitely one to emphasise the middle aged spread!

They seem so hot to wear in the summer too; clima cool technology my arse!

Was reminded it will around £80. Might just get another retro instead.
