Blocking Carney from going with the U20's for the World Cup only to not play him is weak though. And play the lads who's going to be here next season. About half of the players in todays XI will likely be gone in the summer.

Generally I would have been way more optimistic about Pochettino's chances here if we hadn't blown hundreds of millions already on a rebuild that took us nowhere. 

One or two good games beats some other contributions. He has potential, he can only learn and grow by playing. Ditto Mudryk. I can't see the point of today's selections.

Yeah, I agree with you.

But Madueke's still not been that good himself which for me just highlights the folly of our rebuild.

9 players out and Lampard has seemingly come to terms that as far as tactical management goes, he can't outsmart anyone. Clearly he's putting out a team that will someone make the score line less embarrassing, and tossing Mudryk and Madueke in there to only get slaughtered isn't the best for their development. 

Fully expecting Sterling however to have an unbelievable stinker of a performance. 

Hah Pep has picked the reserves and some younger players too. 

We started with 9 players though so dont matter.

Hopefully more mistakes from Pep leading up to the final. Should stick with a strong team and keep momentum. 

Blimey. I thought Potter was a waste of space, but Lampard is so out of his depth, we’d be better off just picking a team from a hat.

A lot of the players here next season are injured - whoever he picked it would have been half a team of players leaving next season

How is playing Madueke & Murdyk not good for their development? There is no at stake here, and they won’t get better by getting wrapped in cotton wool. If they start & we get hammered, it’s all part of their learning curve.

Only two more games with Frank. Thank goodness.

Because imo getting spanked whilst playing under a manager who can't set up any tactical structure doesn't do anyone good. Most importantly, raw players.
