Nicolas Jackson - striker

Featured Replies

Well it seems like we have no choice now. The SD's took the risk of going with just Jackson and the inexperienced Guiu and no both are injured for most of the rest of the season. So we will either have to go with a player out of position which hasn't worked well in the past, or a totally untried youth player. Nice planning there from the club. Yes we are unlucky with the injuries, but it was clear we needed another striker option in January if we wanted to recharge the season. Sums up the ambition of the owners.

Just use one of the youth attackers.. They can't be any worse than Jackson and they can gain experience.. We have nothing to loose

That would probably be either Donnell McNeilly or Ronnie Stutter. We also have a 17 year old that we got from Brighton that looks decent - Shumaira Mheuka. We should at least put 1 of them on the bench.

Cracking player - can't wait to see him start the next game.  A goal scoring freak - superhuman....nailed on superstar..... it would be just my rotten luck if Maresca now drops him....

🤮🤢

Did this actually work???

Anyway - I am off to listen to some uplifting music. I will start with "what a beautiful day" by the levellers, 'beautiful day' by U2, or "what a wonderful world" by Louis Armstrong.

Sometimes, despite all the bad stuff that's going on in the world, war, famine, natural disasters -  there are little things that happen that make you think "everything is going to be ok".

That you Nicolas Jackson. I say this genuinely - You have made my day.

Gloating aside - I don't want to wish injury on any chelsea player - so get well soon....just not too soon.

Im waiting for people to throw their rattles out of the pram blaming Jackson for not being fit and available now... Damned if he does or doesnt!

Lets see how Maresca gets on reinventing his tactics to work with the players he has.

He is an unreliable scumbag - I have been telling you this for ages.

The bigger concern is that already Maresca is using Jackson's absence as a cover for his own tactical shortcomings. We have been sh*t since Christmas and Jackson has played in all but one of the league games. Regardless of how rubbish our clubs hierarchy is Maresca needs to learn very quickly that, like most of the managers I this division, you have to cut your cloth accordingly and develop a successful team from the players you have. Even with the injuries we have he should be able to put together a side and create a pattern of play to win most games in this division.

The Owners and SDs will do the same. "Injuries" now gives them a cast iron "excuse" for not making Top 4, and in similarly justifying a continuation with Enzo Maresca as manager. No doubt they are seeing all sorts of "development" in the players and team that is not apparent to the naked eye, and we will be "briefed" accordingly !

Give Mheuka a shot, he’s done well for the youth team.

He’s around the same age as players we keep buying, only difference is we haven’t payed big money for him.

This is actually a chance for the board and the manager to trust the youth a bit more in a nothing to lose situation or we can play Palmer and Nkunku out of their preferred positions and be weaker in 2 areas.

You're a proper weirdo celebrating a Chelsea injury.

As I said - I don’t wish injury on any Chelsea player, and I hope he enjoys good  health and recovery.

That said,  I am over the moon that this fraud of a player won’t be “playing football” (term used loosely) for us again for some time.

The travesty and injustice in all of this is that Maresca wouldn’t drop him until he became injured - and the only way the donkey is out of the team is through injury. It should not have come to this….

….But alas - it did, and he is no longer going to be hindering our team for the next few matches. So I will celebrate the positives, and enjoy watching Chelsea again, even if for a short while.

And the other related good news is that I won’t feel the need to respond to all the argumentative sods on here who continue on say that Nico is a future ballon d’or winner.

What a beautiful day, hey hey, what a beautiful day….and nothing is impossible in my all powerful mind….

You can't write 4 paragraphs about how happy you are our own player is injured then just put lol just kidding to cover your own arse. You're a weirdo.

I think you are missing the point. I am, unapologetically, delighted that he won’t be “playing football” for us for a while. The longer the better.

I am sorry it is injury that made this dream come true….it would have been better if he had simply of been dropped.

It’s a beautiful day - sky falls you feel it, It’s a beautiful day - don’t let it get away….

Like i said, weirdo. This must be how the American consumer follows a club.

Try Sanchez, as an inverted No 9 and give Jorgensen a run - kill two birds with one stone.

Out of interest, does Sanchez have an expected goals rating ?

Sanchez up front cannot be any worse than Jackson. Jackson is one of the most clueless players we have ever had play up front for us - and that includes Chris Sutton, Paul Furlong and Joe Allon.

If our season’s hopes genuinely relied on the availability of Nicholas Jackson then we were screwed before it even began.

Either Nkunku stops his sulking, steps up and the team adapts to his strengths or one of the Youth get a chance and go full Harry Kane for us.
