Caicedo 4, Dusan Vlahovic 9 and Olise 12..? 😅

So no number for Casadei. I'm really disappointed. Asti well as to the fact that Cucurella got a number. Our number 10s have been far away being the top class of the team since Hazard.

Biggest surprise here is #3 for Cucurella. I thought we might be trying to sell him, and instead he gets a significant number (traditionally worn by the first choice left back).

#7 for Sterling is also a bit of a statement. I guess he won't be going to Saudi for a while ...

Still think we will try and sell or loan several of those given a number today.

Surprised there is a number for Lesley.

And a bit surprised No number for Ziyech or Lukaku

Until clubs have to submit their squad lists I suppose anything can still happen, can't it?

I enjoyed Crespo.

Good player, didn't want to be here though so not considering it a success. Especially as he was our most expensive signing at the time.

Has there been a more depressing 25 years for a number? Since Vialli can we honestly call any of those players a success other than JFH? I blame Sutton.

I think Crespo did alright as did Tammy for Frank, but obviously we haven't had much luck with that number.

It's not bad luck or a curse, it's simply bad recruitment !

  • Di Santo was a failed youth signing who never kicked on.
  • Torres was clearly a busted flush, and it wouldn't have taken much analysis to see that apart from goals against us, he generally was mainly scoring against relegation fodder.
  • Falcao was a desperate loan signing - and way past his best.
  • Morata was always the bridesmaid and never the bride at Real Madrid and Juventus.
  • Higuain another desperate loan signing, albeit the goals he did score were top class.
  • Lukaku requires no explanation. never wanted to be here.
  • Aubameyang was a last resort at the end of last summer's window, and had already showed at Arsenal that he was done as far as the PL was concerned.

Tons of red flags basically ...

Tammy did OK, but was clearly not top class.
