January 22, 20242 yr Its really quite poor. The latest update also notes Gusto is "undergoing rehabilitation programme". At least we have one fit full back in Chilwell available to play left wing.
January 22, 20242 yr This is getting hammered over and over again but this is unsustainable. We've got 4 fullbacks in the team and they are all injured... (Chilwell will be injured again soon enough). This isn't practical at all. What's the solution here? Plead to the FA that we should be able to register more players? New medical team? God knows, but something is wrong here. At every single point of this season we've had at least 6-7 players injured, you can't make any progress with something like that.
January 22, 20242 yr Meanwhile the academy full backs we let go are all ready and raring to play. Livramento, Hall, Maatsen. Albeit Tino did have a bad injury.

As per the Maatsen thread, Livramento wasn't let go. He was third in line behind Azpi and young Reece. He declined a new contract. And we received a healthy sell-on fee when Newcastle bought him from Saints.
January 25, 20242 yr Was watching some AC Milan highlights. While so many variables, clearly we're doing something wrong if RLC and Pulisic are regularly fit for Milan. And Kante in Saudi.

I think had Tino known that Reece was going to miss the amount of football that he has the last few years, he might have been more tempted to sign a new deal. But at the time he wanted first team football.

But I should have known better than to believe such an optimistic outlook. The latest injury updates estimate his return in February now.

January 27, 20242 yr I said somewhere I expect a full 11 in the Erick bay come May and I stand by that. We will not get anywhere until our injury issues are solved, you could get Pep or Klopp in here

Neither Italy nor Saudi have leagues that play as many games at the intensity required in the Premier League.
