Pre-Match Predictions 2023/24 - Week 20 - Luton Town (Away)

Featured Replies

Week 20 of the PL season predictions.

Your prediction should be of the score, the first goal scorer and the minute of the first goal.

For example, if I am predicting the famous CFC to end this...difficult.... year with a nice 1-3 victory , with the first goal coming from a Malo Gusto screemer in the 5th minute, I would write Luton Town 1-3 Chelsea, Gusto 5.

NOTE: If you do not include the team names in your prediction and instead just put the score, e.g. "1-2" I will assume Home - Away.

If you're predicting a 0-0, then the player name and minute should be of the first shot on target, rather than first goal.  If you predict a scoring game, but the result is 0-0, then the player name and minute will, again, be of the first shot on target.

If you are predicting an own goal as the first scorer, you don't need a player name, but you do need to specify which team gets the goal. E.g. If Chelsea are playing Zetas all stars and you think the amazingly coached wonderkids will score first with being gifted an own goal, it would be something like: Zetas all  stars 2-1 Chelsea, Own Goal (Zeta all stars), 35. So the own goal team is the team that gets the goal, not the team that puts the ball into their own net.

Deadline is 5 minutes before kick-off.
Maximum of 1 change per person.

------------------
Correct Result (W, D, L): 1 point
Correct Score: 5 points
Correct First Scorer: 5 points
Correct First Scorer and Minute: 15 points
Correct Everything: 30 points

Yep. Typical Chelsea letting in another goal. f**king football. A bit nerve wracking towards the end. Chelsea losing or drawing on top of Rangers losing would have really spoiled my weekend and made me start drinking alcohol!

Ah 5 of us robbed by an unlucky rebound off Petrovics save.

Far bigger Robbery than last years minutegate, Ivan Toney and Munkworth last year...

I think possibly call it the last season for it! Seems a lot of work to post the topics and Zeta’s Rachel Riley maths adding the scores every week! A lot of people don’t predict now, probably losing interest in the rocky seasons with a gung ho board!

Aye maybe. Is disheartening seeing the effort @Zetagoes to only for a handful to bother.

Don't blame him for losing his motivation for it. Hopefully he wins the prize this year, deserves it.

I’m pretty sure he uses a spreadsheet rather than doing it himself. That’s what I’d do and I’m a simpleton.
