Once Sanchez is back from injury and fit to play who would you choose as number one? Perhaps you'd recall one of the many keepers we have out on loan as first choice? Does Petrovic keep his place?

I'll post my thoughts on the matter later on, but for now this is open to the forum.

Unanimous for Petrovic so far. I said in another chat it'll be interesting to see how he does in games where he's probably going to have more shots to deal with over the next few weeks with Liverpool, Man City and Spurs coming up but so far he's definitely done enough to keep his place when Sanchez is back.

Almost unanimous to keep Petrovic as number one, which I wholeheartedly agree with.

Important to remember that Dorde only got his chance due to injury to Sanchez.

Poch would have seen both in training and decided Sanchez was the better option. Just one of a number of somewhat strange decisions this season. Chilwell at left wing, Gusto at left back on occasion, never giving Maatsen a go at left back, not playing Caicedo in the role he had at Brighton, playing Enzo at number 10 instead of as a deep lying midfielder. All baffling.

I think one of the most impossible decisions for a manager is to decide who is the better keeper from the training ground alone. So much of being a number 1 is handling the pressure, being alert, it's hard to test outside of a live game.

But I do think Poch goes back to Sanchez for some reason.

Easily Petrovic for me.  Just on kicking alone he should remain in the team.  Reminds me a little of Carlo Cudicini.  Not in terms of playing style but in terms of signing.  Both signed with low expectations but performed much higher than expected.

As some of the posters have already said, fear that Poch will put Sanchez straight back in....

Not even a tough decision. Petrovic keeps the No.1 jersey until his arms fall off. Sanchez can pick up his £100k per week (or whatever it is), sitting on the bench next to his mate Cucurella.

If Poch did make the mistake of selecting Sanchez again, then first time Sanchez f**ks up (which would be something like 25 minutes into first game), Poch should exit the stadium quietly via the tradesman's entrance and never return.

I'm not sure I follow you - you're saying Poch made Sanchez first choice because he'd known him for 3 weeks longer?

Poch would've probably kept an eye on Sanchez during his time at Brighton and in the Premier League. Add the fact we brought in his goal keeping coach as well.

Petrovic was a transfer from the MLS so I doubt Poch knew much about him.

You're on the wind up if you think that's the case - they may as well put one of us in charge. In fact I spend more effort than that when putting my fantasy team together. 😂

This is the same manager when questioned about Malang Sarr, he replied "Who?".

Sanchez was initially purchased to provide competition to Kepa. Petrovic was a random buy at the time.

No no no, is because he brought the steaks to the BBQ and gives him a weekly bag of lemons.

Think we’ll disrupt the back line reintroducing Sanchez. Petrovic makes good decisions, and technically (feet and hands) is a good keeper. A little work on crossing and the aerial side and he could be a mainstay for years.

To be fair, he's not the first to say that.

75 million for Kepa, 30 million for mendy, 25 million for Sanchez, 12.5 million for Petrovic...

Which one looks the best between the sticks?

Courtios 8mill, Cech 7mill, Cudicini 230k @Valerie ;) and last but certainly not least, @Moduekefavorite of all time Ross Turnbull for free!
